16 Days Kerala Tour with Mumbai Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai

Late evening arrival at the Mumbai airport or railway station. An assisted transfer to the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mumbai

Day 2, after breakfast, is booked for sightseeing, where you will cover central Mumbai's attractions such as the Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Garden, Marine Drive, Vidhan Sabha, Malabar Hill, and Dhobi Ghat. Spend the evening at leisure on the Chowpatty beach. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Mumbai – Mangalore (By flight) – Bekal (50 km)

After breakfast, board a flight to Mangalore. On arrival, hit the road to reach Bekal. Check in at the hotel and relax for a while. In the evening, explore Bekal Fort, the largest and well-maintained fort in Kerala situated along the Arabian Sea. Visit the underground tunnels and the Observation. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Bekal – Wayanad (200 km/ 5hr 30 min-Approx.)

Post breakfast, begin your journey towards Wayanad. In the afternoon, you will proceed towards Vythiri to visit Lakkidi, located at an altitude of 700 m; it is the gateway to Wayanad and is one of the highest points at Wayanad. Enjoy the sight of the peaks, the water streams, and the forests. Do not miss visiting Pookot lake, surrounded by lush forests. In addition, you can enjoy boating and see the Children's Park and the freshwater aquarium. Overnight in Wayanad.

Day 5: Wayanad

On day 5, you can do the activities of your interest after breakfast. You can either go trekking or explore the wildlife at the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. If there is still time, you can also visit the Sentinal Rock Waterfalls in Soochippara. This is a special three-step waterfall at the height of 200 mt. You can enjoy a nature walk here. The other attraction you can visit is the Wayanad Heritage Museum, which has a collection of various regional artifacts. Stay overnight.

Day 6: Wayanad – Calicut (85 km/ 2 hr 45 min-Approx.)

After breakfast, drive towards Kozhikode (Calicut). On arrival, move to your hotel. Afterward, proceed for half-day sightseeing where you will cover Mananchira containing the palace tank transformed into an architectural marvel, Marine Life Aquarium, and the jetties at Kozhikode beach. The day's last visit will be Kappad, the very place from which Vasco da Gama entered India. Stay overnight.

Day 7: Calicut – Cochin (182 km/ 5 hr 20 min-Approx.)

Do not miss an early morning visit to Dolphin's point, where you can observe dolphins playing in the water. After breakfast, set off for Cochin (Kochi) by road. On arrival, check in at your hotel. In the evening, you can relax or can visit the popular markets for shopping. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Kochi - Thekkady (155 km/ 4 hr 15 min-Approx.)

Half of day 8 is for a city tour where you will cover Kochi Fort for its European heritage, Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis' Church, Dutch Palace, and the Jewish Synagogue. Later, drive towards Thekkady. Spend the evening shopping at the handicraft and spice shops, starting from Kumily to Thekkady. Stay overnight.

Day 9: Thekkady

Enjoy an early morning boat ride on Periyar Lake. Post breakfast, you can do several activities at the Periyar Tiger Reserve, such as Nature Walk, Jungle Patrol, Bamboo Rafting, Border Hiking, or a Bullock Cart ride. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Thekkady – Kumarakom (125 km/ 3 hr 30 min-Approx.)

Once you have your breakfast, visit the Tribal Heritage Museum. Later drive towards Kumarakom. After reaching, check into a backwater resort. Enjoy the surrounding beauty or explore the surroundings on foot. Spend the day at leisure. Stay overnight.

Day 11: Kumarakom (Houseboat)

Post breakfast. Drive towards the embarkation point to board your private Kettuvalloms, the traditional name for backwater houseboat. Cruise along the scenic landscape, paddy fields, villages, and coconut groves. Lunch and dinner will be served on board. Stay overnight.

Day 12: Arrive Tottapally – Quilon (35 kms)

Have breakfast on board. Disembark at Tottapally. From your road journey towards Quillon (Kollam) begins. On arriving, check in at your pre-booked resort. You can either opt to enjoy a relaxing Ayurvedic massage at the beach or can enjoy fun activities at the beach. Overnight stay.

Day 13: Kollam- Varkala (40 kms)

Have breakfast, and leave to explore a beautiful seaside hamlet, Thangesseri. Visit the remains of Portuguese and Dutch forts, ancient churches built during the 18th century, a 3 km long beach, and a 100-year-old lighthouse. Late evening, set off for Varkala by road. Check into the resort and spa. Stay overnight.

Day 14: Varkala – Kovalam (50 kms)

Have your breakfast at the resort, and then drive towards Kovalam. On arrival, check into your pre-booked resort. You can cover the major attractions today, such as the lighthouse, Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, Halcyon Castle, etc. Overnight stay.

Day 15: Kovalam

Post breakfast, enjoy fun activities at the famous beaches of Kovalam- Samudra beach, Lighthouse beach, and Hawah beach. Enjoy sunbathing, and leisure walks, etc. Stay overnight.

Day 16: Kovalam - Thiruvananthapuram (for onward destination)

After having your breakfast, spend a relaxed day, laze on the beach or have an Ayurvedic massage. Then, get an on-time transfer to Trivandrum airport to board a flight for your onward destination.
