On reaching Delhi our guide will meet you and drop you till hotel. This will be followed by Breakfast. After meals we will proceed for some sight seeing covering Birla Temple, India gate, Parliament area, Government buildings, Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, Gandhi memorial, Jama Masjid. Overnight Delhi.
In the morning we will leave by car to visit Amber. There an elephant ride awaits for you till hilltop fort. Then we will reach Jaipur and proceed to your hotel where you can rest at leisure.
Morning we will visit Jaipur, the City Palace complex that includes the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) built in 1799, the Jantar Mantar observatory which is still equipped with ancient instruments including a very accurate 90 foot sundial, and the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum. Afternoon is booked for light and leisure visits to local market and shops such as kite shop at Sanganer Gate and colorful bazaars of Bapu and Johari. After this you will be taken to hotel at night.
On 4th day after having breakfast we will leave by car to Agra enrouting Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sekri is very famous Mughal palace as it is perhaps the best and the most complete of all Mughal Palaces. It was built by Akbar around 1570. He had used highest quality of craftsmen to build the entire city. But because of failed water supply he had to leave this place. Agra is situated on the banks of Yamuna River. During Mughul empire (16th and 17th century) it was the capital of India. We will arrive Agra early in afternoon and proceed for the hotel.
After breakfast we will go to visit the immortal Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jehan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit the fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Afternoon free to re visit the Taj or to explore the bazaars near the fort.
On sixth day we will leave for Gwalior by car, the city established in the 8th century. Gwalior is famous for huge and one of the oldest hilltop fort in India. In the afternoon we will go to visit the fort, which contains the 15th century palace of Raja Man Singh, the Teli-ka-Mandira, and ancient temple. Apart from these Gwalior is also famous for Indian classical music. If you are a music lover then each December one of the greatest music festivals is held there.
After and early breakfast leave for mediaeval Orchha, stopping enroute at Datia to view the beautiful sedentary hilltop Gobinda Palace. Then onto Orchha, on the banks of the Betwa River. This former capital of the Bundela Rajputs has been left relatively undisturbed by time. Orchha is rich in mural art and architecture-visit the Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and Sheesh Mahal. Overnight at the Sheesh Mahal.
Our eight day of this tour, will start with a drive onto Khajuraho, famous for its magnificent Chandela temples. We will arrive Khajuraho in the afternoon and proceed to your hotel for overnight.
In the morning we will go to visit the temples displaying one of the best examples of Indian art. Afternoon is free to revisit the temples at your own leisure.
On tenth day morning we will go to airport for flight to Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi you will be taken to your hotel. Varanasi is one of the eternal, the holiest Hindu cities in India and the oldest living cities in the world. In the afternoon we will have a city tour, visiting the temples in the old city and the Emperor Aurangzeb Mosque.
Early morning boats ride on the Ganges to view the sunrise and to see the rituals that take place along the ghats (waterside steps). Afternoon we will visit Sarnath to see the Chinese and Buddhist temples and an interesting Sarnath Museum.
You will be taken to airport for your return flight to Delhi. Full assistance is available on your arrival at Delhi. Help will be given to connect you to your international flight.
