Uttar Kashi - Dodital is a part of Uttar Kashi district in Uttaranchal and is an important pilgrimage center. It is considered to be the Kashi of North. Just like in Varanasi, the Vishwanath Shrine, dedicated to Lord Shiva is the main temple here. It has an elevation of 1,158 meters and the trek up Dodital is of 3,024 meters. It is around 71 km drive from Nainital.
Mahadev Ka Trishul or the Shakti Temple - Lord Shiva's trident or the Trishul is the main attraction of the Shakti Temple in Uttar Kashi district the place is easily accessible from Dodital. The trident is a combination of eight metals and has a height of 26 feet. It was smeared with color to reduce its dazzling effect.
