About Rajgarh Valley
The main occupation of the people here is agriculture and Rajgarh is one of the largest subdivisions of Sirmaur district. There are ancient shrines here and people are devotees of Goddess Durga and Lord Shiva. The Shaya Temple in Rajgarh is dedicated to Lord Shirgul and according to legends, the Churdhar Mountain was the original abode of the deity. Situated along the Giri River, Rajgarh Valley facilitates trout fishing as well. 30 percent of Rajgarh area is under the forest cover, jungle trailing and picnic is an important tourist activity here.
