Resplendent in the air of regality, that can be said to be the characteristic feature of the Mughal emperors, Fatehpur Sikri remains even today one of the most precious relics of the reign of the Mughals in India. Once, in order to seek blessings to remedy the situation, the emperor traveled to the abode of the revered saint Sheik Salim Chisti, the renowned Sufi saint who blessed him with a son, who was to be later known as Jahangir.
