Corbett is the abode for Tigers, four kinds of Deer, Wild Boar and a few lesser-known animals. The hilly areas of the park are dwelling of leopards and some nocturnal cats like the jungle cat and fishing cat. The Himalayan Black bear is seen in the higher hills while the Sloth bear is found in the lower hilly areas .The wild Dog and the Jackal can be located in the southern parts of the Park. The rock-strewn hillsides are home to the Ghoral or Goat Antelopes and many more other species of animals and reptiles.
Elephant rides are an experience although the elephants rarely venture into the deep jungles beyond the grasslands. Corbett holiday is indeed very adventurous and thrilling.
Tour to Corbett will make you visit the Corbett waterfall which stands at a distance of 3 kms from the Kaladhungi main road. The waterfall features a height of 20 meters. Corbett waterfall is surrounded by a forest belt and camping sites with a profusion of birdlife and plant life. Some other additional attractions for the visitors are the 'Nature Walk', museum, the adventurous camping sites.
Anglers can make a trip to Ramnagar and Lohachur which are a good base for fishing.
How To Reach:
By Air :- The near airport is Phoolbagh, Pantnagar at a distance of 50 km from Corbett. Delhi, which is 300 km, is the nearest international airport.
By Rail :- Ramnagar on the broad gauge track is the bordering railway station from where you have to travel by road to reach the Corbett National Park.
By Road :- There are regular buses too from Delhi and Lucknow to Ramnagar, the town nearest to Corbett National Park.
