Anjuna beach, Goa is one of the more popular beaches in the Indian state. It is a beautiful stretch of coastline and is the site of a noted flea market.

 Anjuna beach in Goa is located 8 kilometers to the west of Mapusa, North Goa. It is 18 kilometers away from Panaji and is located in Bardez taluka. The beach is 30 kilometers long and forms part of the Goa coastline bordering the Arabian Sea.


The principal attraction of Anjuna beach is flea market, Chapora Fort. The ideal time to visit the place is from November to March. Travelers to the place visit the quaint village of Anjuna. The village occupies an area of 5 square miles. It is sandwiched between a hill and the Arabian Sea. The picturesque locale has made it popular among hippies.

Other than the beach, attractions in Anjuna include the Chapora fort and Mascarenhas Mansion. The Mascarenhas mansion has distinct architectural additions like classic balconies. Flowery engravings on stained glass are observed. Chapora fort is reasonably maintained except in a few parts.


Accommodation at Anjuna is limited. There is a collection of small houses that can be rented. A few resorts are to be found in the main Starco's crossroads. Visitors are advised to stay in nearby areas like Vagator and Calangute. They can visit Anjuna- which is only a short distance away. Plenty of restaurants are present. All specialize in western food and fish preparations. Cold beer is available.
