Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh is a major region in the Gird region of North India. The administrative headquarters of the Gwalior district and Gwalior division is located in the city. The history of the city dates back to the 8th century AD.

Like other parts of central India, the climate of Gwalior is mainly mild. The summer months are hot while the winter months are cool and dry. Rainfall is moderate. The most suitable time for going to Gwalior is between the months of October and March. The weather in this part of the year is mild with scanty rainfall.
