Calcutta Museum (Town Hall), Kolkata is one of the finest museums located in the City of Joy. Founded by the Asiatic Society in the year of 1814, this museum showcases some of the brilliant exhibits covering different branches of learning. Danish botanist, Nathaniel Wallich was the man behind the foundation of the Calcutta Museum. It is located within the Town Hall near the High Court of Kolkata. The building of this museum was planned by W. L. Granvil. It is apparently one of the oldest buildings present in Kolkata.
