Countries you can visit with an Indian passport without visa!

International vacations around the world are not a long-waited dream for Indians anymore. Furthermore, international traveling is easily accessible for Indian passport holders with Visa permits, Visa on arrival facility and visa free options.

India is ranked at the 74th position according to the Passport Index’s Global Passport Power Rank 2019. The ranking is calculated from passports of 193 United Nations member countries and six territories. The position on the global scale means India has a ‘Visa-free score’ of 58. The easy visa facility allow Indian passport holders visa free entry to 24 countries allow Indian passport holders visa-free entry and 41 provide them with the visa on arrival.

An Indian passport entitles you to visit various countries without the need of undergoing any visa application process. There are many countries who either provide a visa-free entry or visa on arrival facility to Indians, here’s a list.

Bhutan

  • Type of visa: No visa
  • Visa Details: No Visa required for 30 days. Only valid ‘Travel Documents’ will grant entry (a) Indian Passport validity for minimum 6 months; and/or (b) Voter Identity Card, issued by the Election Commission of India.
  • Why travel? Monasteries, handicrafts, Buddhist culture, trekking, and more.

Maldives   

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for stay upto 90 days
  • Why travel? Islands, deep sea diving, museums, cruise, surfing, beaches

Malaysia

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days. Also issued if arriving from Thailand, Singapore or Indonesia and holding a valid visa for any of those countries
  • Why travel? Islands, sightseeing, exploration, national parks, amusement parks, museums

Thailand  

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 15 days on showing documents at a fee
  • Why travel? Beaches, islands, sightseeing, roadside eateries, national parks, historical sites, floating markets

Indonesia 

  • Type of visa: No Visa
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days for only tourism purposes
  • Why travel? Beaches, temples, wildlife, islands, forests, sightseeing, among many more.

Seychelles 

  • Type of visa: Visitor’s permit on arrival
  • Visa details: Visa on arrival for a maximum of 90 days
  • Why travel? Sailing, snorkeling, diving, surfing, bird-watching

Bolivia

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa Details: Valid for 90 days.
  • Why travel? Sightseeing, wildlife, adventure, festivals, historical sites, etc.

British Virgin Islands

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: 31-day visa-free stay. Must hold tickets with confirmed onward/return reservations, all documents and sufficient funds to cover their intended stay
  • Why travel? Water sports, hiking, wildlife, harbors, islands, etc.

Cambodia

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days
  • Why travel? Temples, sightseeing, heritage, etc.

Cape Verde

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days
  • Why travel? Beaches, water sports, sightseeing, hiking, and wildlife.

Comoros

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days
  • Why travel? Sightseeing, exploration, islands & trekking, among many

Cook Islands

  • Type of visa: Visa not required
  • Visa details: Valid for 31 days
  • Why travel? Water sports, beaches, cultural tours, hiking, sightseeing, to name a few.

Djibouti

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 6 months with a return/onward ticket
  • Why travel? Beaches, sightseeing, hiking, bird watching, wildlife, etc.

Dominica

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 6 months with a return/onward ticket
  • Why travel? Sightseeing, waterfalls, snorkeling, handicrafts, and many more.

Ecuador

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 90 days

 El Salvador
