How to reach Gangtok
To reach Gangtok by air, you can take a flight to Bagdogra airport, connected with major Indian cities. From there, hire a cab to Gangtok. Helicopter services are also available and managed by Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation. The services are offered daily from Bagdogra to Gangtok and take nearly 20 minutes.
To reach Gangtok by train, take the train and get off at New Jalpaiguri station, located approximately 117 km away from Sikkim’s capital, Gangtok. It is also well-linked to significant parts of India. If you are traveling to Gangtok by road, take the NH 31A, or you can hire a bus run by Sikkim state transport that runs between Gangtok and Siliguri. Private buses, jeeps, and taxis are also available from Siliguri and Bagdogra.
