In the year 1645 AD the fort was granted to Thakur Bhoj Pal by his father who was the maharaja of Karauli. Ramathra Fort is conveniently located between the renowned Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary of Bharatpur and the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur, the location opens up a whole world of adventure to be experienced.
