Overview

Ramathra Fort named after Lord Rama is a gigantic master piece of Maharaja of Karauli. The fort harbors the pride of Lord Rama having stayed here before visiting Lanka. In the year 1645 AD the fort was granted to Thakur Bhoj Pal by his father who was the maharaja of Karauli. Ramathra Fort is conveniently located between the renowned Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary of Bharatpur and the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur, the location opens up a whole world of adventure to be experienced. The other side to experience in Ramathra Fort is the fabulous architecture of the fort and the tradition of the region.
