Dining

The Piano Room at the Rajbari Bawali is the in-house restaurant. It serves an array of Indian, Oriental, Continental, and Thai dishes made with fresh vegetables and spices from the villages nearby at Bawali. The highlight is of course Bengali dishes, the flavorsome vegetables, spices, fresh river fishes, and a unique style of cooking. The most suggested dish from the kitchen is the famous Bhetki Paturi, which is succulent barramundi marinated with Bengali mustard and steamed in a banana leaf.

Private dining can be arranged on request both inside and outside of the Piano Room, for an intimate dinner or a group celebration. The Rajbari Bawali can also host a picnic after a bicycle ride along the banks of the Hooghly River.

Besides the taste of the Zamindari Raj of Bangla, the Piano Rooms also offers the opportunity to take part in a cooking session and learn about traditional Bengali cuisine.
