Itinerary Details
Day 1: Kiev

Upon arrival at Kiev airport, you will have a warm welcome by our representative. You will have an assisted transfer to the hotel Park Inn by Radisson Kyiv Troyitska. This 4-star hotel is located at a perfect central location. There are a lot of restaurants with Indian and vegetarian cuisines, the nightclubs and karaoke also located nearby the resort. Check-in into the hotel and relax in your hotel room. The rest of the day is at leisure. You can either relax in your room at the hotel or enjoy the hotel facilities or take a stroll to nearby places.

Day 2: Kiev city tour - Kiev Pechersk Cave Monastery (Lavra)

Start your day with a hearty breakfast in the hotel. On your second day in Kiev, we recommend you step out for a city tour of Kiev where you will learn about the city. The Kiev is a city of three epochs – ancient times, Soviet Union times and contemporary days.

Here you will visit the main city high lights, explore feudal cathedrals, travel through famed Kiev streets and feel the sensation of national culture and enjoy the hospitality of locals.

Later you will visit the ancient basilicas, configurations with sophisticated architecture with incredible history and modern business hubs that will be included in our small journey through the capital city of Ukraine.

After, you pay a visit to Kiev Pechersk Cave Monastery which is also known as Kiev Pechersk Lavra. It is the main and historic holy shrine of Ukrainian orthodox Christians (optional tour 45 euro). It is well known as one of the most prominent Christian sites all over the world.

The foundation of the monastery was laid in 1051. As one of the seven wonders of Ukraine, the Kiev Pechersk Cave Monastery is holy as well as a historical site. It has always been respected as the center of spiritual life situated on the banks of Dnieper River.

Now you will amaze with the magnificence of the church of Lavra. The graves of the Soviet times historical personalities such as former Russian prime-minister Stolypin and Ukrainian historian D. Scherbakivsky is located there. In Greek, Lavra means a huge and venerated monastery. Since 1990 Kiev Pechersk Cave Monastery (Lavra) has been under UNESCO protection and has been enlisted into the world heritage list.

The pilgrims can make their way through some historic and cultural museums of Ukraine including these famous museums that are situated in the arcade of the monastery. Such museums are the museum of micro miniatures, folk art museum, the museum of book-printing, the musical, theatrical and cinematographic museum can be visited there too. You can also explore some private exhibitions.

Day 3: Kiev city tour - Kreschatik

On the 3rd day of Kiev tour, you will have a delicious breakfast in the hotel and then you can visit for the optional tour. Our guide will take you on a city expedition along the main street of Ukraine (optional tour 45 euro).

Kreschatik is one of the well-known central streets of Kiev, Ukraine. The whole street was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt in the neo-classical style of Stalinist architecture. The center of political, commercial and cultural life has been bustling here from the last two eras. It is well-known as the sites of the first Kiev telegraph, telephone, electric tram, gas, and electric illumination. Also, conclude the first Kievan sky-scraper was created on Kreschatik too.

The street has been refurbished during the modern period of Ukraine's independence. Today, the street is a popular tourist attraction.

Here you can visit the art exhibition of the Russian artists called Peredvizhniki was organized there. On another side, if you are a music lover then you can indulge yourself in listening to the famous Beethoven music of Kiev.

Later, you will visit the European Square. The square is famed for its rich history and culture. You will be amazed after step in the Ukrainian House – the largest international exhibition and convention centre, puppet theater building, City concert hall, water museum and some parks on the Dnieper River slopes.

Stepping your short way to Independence Square, exploring buildings of banks of tsar's time, next we will arrive at the main square of Ukraine. Here you can visit the Musical Academy building, main post-office building, the monument to the independence of Ukraine, the International Cultural Center as well as enjoy shopping at shopping malls.

Kreschatik on weekend turns into a pedestrian zone. Later, you will visit the most interesting area of the street. There are many boutiques, French-style Passages, Kiev City Hall, TSUM (Central Shopping Mall) and the monument to the architect Gorodetsky. All these masterpieces are established in the area of 500 meters along the central Kievan Street.

Here you can relate with the pictures of the old times and buildings starting from the crossroad with Khmelnytskyi's street. That shows the way Kreschatik looked like in pre-Soviet days and feel the charms of Kreschatik.

You will finish your tour at the Bessarabsky market, there is always something to buy in this market. It is an ancient market in the city and was constructed in 1912. It is the most prominent art Noveau style building in Kiev. There is also an entertainment and trade center nearby. It is called Mandarin-Plaza and there is always something entertaining to see in this plaza. You can also enjoy the view of Shevchenko's boulevard.
