• The Gallery of the museum

Spread over an area of 4 acres, this gallery is a fine establishment built to display India’s aeronautical history and science. It is divided into two halls. The first one has the entire process of development and evolution of aviation, aerospace, and aeronautics engineering since the 1940s. It has a Wall of Fame with major milestones of HAL in the six decades and people involved in it.

The second hall showcases the life-size models of the old and new aircrafts, aero engines and other parts. It displays their inner workings, among which some famous ones are Garret, Adour and Orpheus. The aircraft models consist of jets, fighter planes, MIGs, helicopters, and others used by the Indian defense. the Kiran and the Marut, an antique Canberra bomber and the ill-famous MIG-21 are some famous models.

• Air Traffic Control Tower

The tower houses a mock Air Traffic Control Tower, providing visitors an experience of witnessing the landing and take-off of plane insight.

• Simulators

Visitors can experience flying and a real motion simulator for an authentic feel of flying a jet or a plane. It is a great way to get first-hand the experience of being a pilot.

• Sustainability Development Park

The park has scientific facts and models that educate the visitors about numerous ways we can practice sustainability to save us, the Earth. It includes the mechanism of the working of solar energy, how turbines and windmills are used to generate power, and why biogas is important. A library is available on-site with books related to aero science and history. Souvenir shop, an aeromodelling club, a herbal garden, an orchidarium, and a kid’s play area are also on the premises.
