On the sandstone hill the Cave Two of Cave Temples Badami has images of Vishnu in his Varaha and Trivikrama incarnations. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu the second cave has bas-relief work of Vishnu in a dwarf form or in the huge dimension of ‘Trivikrama’ with one foot on the earth and another on the sky.
Vishnu in another form is portrayed as ‘Varaha’ or as a boar. Carvings of Vishnu riding on Garudaand surrounded with lotus flowers are beautifully carved and other scenes from puranas can be seen carved on the ceilings.
