By Air

Khajuraho is connected by air from major cities in India that include New Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal, Allahabad and Varanasi. Jet Airways, Air India and SpiceJet etc offer daily flights to Khajuraho. The domestic airport in Khajuraho (IATA Code HJR) is located at average distance of 10 kilometers from the group of monuments.

By Rail

Khajuraho has its own railway station. In order to reach Khajuraho by train, you will have to get down at Khajuraho Railway Station (Code: KURJ) which is located 5.9 kilometers away from Khajuraho. Other important nearby railheads are at Mahoba (Code: MBA – Distance: 77 kilometers), Satna (Rail Code STA - Distance: 116 kilometers), Katni (Rail Code: KTE - Distance: 160 kilometers) and Jhansi (Code: JHS - Distance: 117 kilometers).

By Road

Khajuraho Group of Monuments are located approximately 10 kilometers off the National Highway 75. The nearest city is Chattarpur which again is well connected by road from Bhopal. One could also travel to Khajuraho by Road from Delhi which is approx. 600 kilometers away and Jhansi which is 177 kilometers away.
