Going from Gangtok to Lachung is the most convenient way to travel. You can stay the night at Gangtok and leave for Lachung by car the next morning. The nearest train station to Lachung is the New Jalpaiguri railway station, around 120 km away from Gangtok. The railway station is connected to many cities like Darjeeling, Kolkata, and Delhi. From the railway station, reach Gangtok by bus or taxi and after a night stay, leave for Lachung. A bus or hire a taxi is the best way to travel as Gangtok to Lachung distance is around 110 km. It will take 4 to 5 hours to reach Lachung.
