The sizeable prize money indicates the high level of competition the golfers engage in. Top golfers of the country participate each year to make the tour a success. The Solaris Chemtech Open Golf Tournament was first held in Bangalore. It is being held for the second time in the Golden Greens Golf and Country Club in Delhi. The course at the second venue poses some interesting challenges to a golfer. This PAR 72-hole golf course is spread over a land of 275 acres. Fairways paved by natural sand dunes and tricky grassy hollows judge a golfer's accuracy to the maximum.

The Solaris Chemtech Open Golf Tournament 2007-08 is the fifth event of this year's professional tour in India. It is the second year of the Rs 3 million tournament to be held at the Golden Green Golf and Country club in Gurgaon from 29th January to 2nd February 08. The players who are to participate in the tournament are Gaurav Ghei, Rahil Gangjee, S.S.P. Chowrasia, Singaporean Lam Chih Bing, Digvijay Singh and Rahul Ganapathy. Solaris Chemtech Open Golf in 2008 is a 72-hole stroke play championship with cut applied after 36 holes. Apart form Solaris Cremtech, other companies that are associated with this year's tournament includes the Apex Lynx, Himalayan Water, Taylor Made, Power Horse and Real Active.
