Indian War Memorial Museum is located in Red Fort, New Delhi. The museum comprises the first and second floors of the Red Fort. It was established to commemorate the sacrifice of the soldiers who had participated in the world war on behalf of the British.

As the name of the museum suggests, the galleries at the Indian War Memorial Museum, New Delhi mostly deals with objects related to war. In the first gallery you can find the diorama showing the battle of Panipat with Babur and Ibrahim Lodi standing opposite each other. Other objects like arrows, revolvers, machine guns, swords, khukris, shells and a variety of daggers with ivory and inscribed hilt, small weapons and chest armor are also displayed in the gallery. The Gallery No. 2 and 3 at Memorial Museum in New Delhi displays Helmets, armors, different types of swords, daggers, Bomb fuses, shells, models of pistols, gun powder flasks, bullets and picture of the arms and ammunition used during the First World War.

The last two galleries of the Indian War Memorial Museum show the impact of European industrialization over the weapons and communication. It depicts the advent of radars, telephone, telegraph, guns with periscope, trench periscope, signal lamps which were introduced during the war. Various types of uniform of Turkish and New Zealand army officers, flags, badges and ribbons are also used during the world wars. These objects along with the model of army transport cart and railway goods track, Baghdad Arab port and Basra dockyard are displayed in this museum.

You can also find the complete dress of Maharaja Jodhpur exhibited in this museum. The magnificent kurta (long shirt), belt, trouser, shoes, inscribed sword with sheath and turban with zari work which were used by His Highness Pratap Singh is displayed in the Indian War Memorial Museum, New Delhi.
