Coonoor situated at an altitude of 4927 meters id the second largest hill station in Nilgiri region after Ooty. It is located about 19 km to the south of Ooty. It is famous for lush green views of Nilgiri hills with an extensive variety of wildflowers and birds it is home to.
It also abounds in sprawling vegetation, tea bushes, coffee plantation and a profusion of sunflowers, marigolds and rhododendrons, mountains and lovely waterfalls.
