History of Rao Madho Singh Museum Kota

The place where Rao Madho Singh Museum is located was previously a palace, which has been later converted into a museum. Mado Singh was the first ruler, who reined in Kota and was the son of the ruler of Bundi.

All the items in the museum are chronologically arranged according to the era and the particular period to which it belongs. A visitor can easily make out the time to which that particular item belongs to. You can find coins, manuscripts, traditional items, epigrams which were used by the people of ancient time. The museum is open to visitors from Monday to Thursday, including Saturday and Sunday and it remains closed on Friday and all other state holidays. Apart from various ancient artifacts, this museum is a reminiscent of various battles which were fought in Rajasthan and it is the armory of the Rajput soldiers. It is located at a convenient location and can be easily accessed from different parts of the city by road.
