Named after the famous Rajput warrior, the Maharana Pratap Memorial is perched on the top of Pearl Hill in Udaipur. The historic site was built in the 18th-century, by the then ruler of Mewar, Maharana Bhagwat Singh. The ancient paintings in the premises speak volumes about the chivalry. These paintings also depict various incidents from the life of the bravest of the brave, Maharana Pratap. To the delight of history lovers, the memorial also houses paintings of the Queen of Chittor, Rani Padmini, Meera Bai and various other legends.

One of the most popular attractions in Udaipur and the highlighted one in the memorial is the life-sized bronze statue of Maharana Pratap. Sitting on his loyal horse, Chetak, the gallant Maharana present a sight to behold. The statue is located amidst the beautiful Japanese garden in the memorial premises. Perfect for photography, the Memorial also displays delicate glass work in its interiors, which includes peacocks made of colored glasses.

Tourists at the Maharana Pratap Memorial can also enjoy Rajasthani traditional dance and music performances. The light and sound show, held in the premises transform the evening into a memorable affair.
