Aurangabad Tourist Places

Named after Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, Aurangabad is often frequented with tourists around the world. Mughal charm is sprinkled all throughout the city and most of the attractions are associated with Mughal Empire including Biwi Ka Maqbara, which are counted as the prime tourist attractions in Aurangabad. Drive a few kilometers away and you would reach Aurangabad Caves, dating back to 2nd and 6th century AD.  However, the Aurangabad city is most popular for the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora Caves, placed at a small distance from the main city. Other tourist attractions to visit in Aurangabad are Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, Panchakki, Devgiri Fort, Himroo Factory, Pitalkhiora caves, Naukhanda Palace and Khuldabad. It is no exaggeration to say that Aurangabad houses a number of man-made wonders that are worth-visiting.
