Bird watching in Goa

Located in West- India in the region Konkan, Goa is the fourth smallest state by population. Goa is also recognized as the ‘city of beaches’ which attracts tourists from all over the globe. It has some of the most gorgeous beaches in India and has an amazing scenic beauty which includes dense forests, rich wildlife and pristine churches.

Also, Goa is considered as the paradise for bird lovers as they can watch a wide variety of birds. One can spot rare species of eagles, kites, buzzards, kestrels, koel, tickell’s blue fly catcher, black- bronze –tailed jacanas white bellied sea tree pipit, greater coucal, oriole, short-toed larks, malabar lark, cinnamon bittern, ruddy breasted cake and ospreys. Apart from this there are five types of pigeons, six types of doves, five varieties of cuckoos and six of kingfishers and woodpeckers. The best time to experience these colorful feathered creations is at dawn.
