Maharana Pratap Dam in Kangra is an exquisite man-made reservoir. It was built to pay homage to Maharana Pratap Singh. This dam was constructed from 1572 to 1597, and it is also known as Pong Dam Reservoir.Maharana Pratap Dam was made into a reservoir for usage during hot summer months when thirsty animals come here for a gulp of freshwater.Located beside the Siwalik Ranges, this is an important tourist destination.
