History :

Nana Rao Park in Kanpur in India was named after the great hero who fought bravely in the first War of Indian independence in 1857, Nana Rao Peshwa. The park was given the name of this great hero, after independence in 1947.

Nana Rao Park, Kanpur has historical importance attached to it, because of the Bibighar massacre of 1857 that took place here in this park.

The park is located at the heart of the city of Kanpur on the Mall Road. Nana Rao Park is situated on the west side of Phool Bagh, which is another attractive park in the city.
