Cubbon's Park and Museum

Museums are institutions that display a microcosmic view of the larger macrocosm. Art and culture of various dynasties that ruled over the Deccan Province find their way in the museums to give tourists a glimpse of the rich heritage of the land they are visiting.

Laid out by Lieutenant General Sir Mark Cubbon, Cubbon's Park and Museum in Bangalore is located near the Vidhan Soudha. Spread over 250 acres it has a number of neo-classical styled government buildings.

Cubbon Park Bangalore is a well laid garden, wide and infringed with flower beds. A jogger's delight the park has fountains and a bandstand. Known as the garden city Bangalore's attraction is Cubbon Park with rolling lawns and flower beds.

Planned and engineered by Sir Richard Sankey, it has got red-faced government buildings that house the Public Library, the Government Museum and the High Court.

Cubbon's Park and Museum in Bangalore houses a number of monuments of importance like the Cheshire Dyer Memorial Hall, Ottawa Chatter, and Museum. It has children's amusement park and a doll museum. There is Vijayranga Theater complex that screens children's films and stages plays.
