Anashakti Ashram

Anashakti Ashram holds a historical value in itself as Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for 14 days in 1929. The ashram is splendidly draped in lush greenery. The beautiful flower gardens, tea bushes, exotic hotels and resorts offer a great deal of summer retreat. About 1 km uphill from the bus stand the ashram has great historical importance, it’s the place where Mahatma Gandhi spent two weeks pondering and penned his commentary on ‘Anashakti yoga’ which is also known as ‘Geeta-Anashakti-Yoga’.

You can also enjoy breathtaking view of majestic Himalyas from your resort’s window. You can also stay in the ashram as it has accommodation facility of 24 rooms with a library stocked with plenty of books on poetry and literature, for book lovers.

You can spend your mild evening in enchanting prayers in the ashram. Anashakti Ashram includes a museum; depicting various pictures of Mahatma Gandhi’s life. Unobstructed scenic view, serene atmosphere, exotic resorts, unexceptionally good food and a place with positive energies with memories of ‘Bapu’ is definitely a great tourist attraction to visit.

How to Get There- Anashakti Ashram can be easily accessed from Kausani as the place is less than 1 km  (850m), you can chose to get a brief walk while enjoying the scenic beauty of the place. The ashram can also be accessed in less than 15 minutes while walking and 4 minutes away from Kausani via car.
