Pindari Glacier in Kausani

Perched on an astonishing elevation of 3627 meters above the sea level, Pindari trek is highly octane adventurous activity for superbly enthusiastic trekkers. It lies in Chamoli district of Dev-bhoomi Uttarakhand. This glacier is 5km long and 300-400 meters in width (from snout to crest) that trails to meet the river ‘Alaknanda’ at ‘Karnapryag’.  

Pindari glaciers is truly a heaven for adventurous amigos and photographers, where they can captures some spellbound natural beauty, mesmerizing landscape summits around the glacier. Mountaineers still believe that their trekking journey is incomplete without having an experience of Pindari, although it’s on extreme elevation yet most accessible for trekkers. Due to its enticing scenic beauty it attracts mountaineers from all over world.

Best time visit- From April-November you can plan your trip to this extensively beautiful place, and have some of your best moments here.

Temperature- Maximum 20 degree Celsius which could go down up to 1 degree Celcius.

  • By Air: Pantnagar airport Udham Singh Nagar is the nearest airport that is 178Km from Bageshwar. Pantnagar airport is well connected with Delhi.
  • By Rail: Kathgodam railway station Nainital is the nearest railhead 147 Km from Bageshwar. Kathgodam railway station is connected to major cities of India.
  • By Road: Bamsera is 25.8 Km from Bageshwar and accessed through Almora-Bageshwar-Munsiyari road. From Bamsera, tourists reach Saung or Song village and begins the 45Km trek.
