Jim Corbett National Park

Established in 1936, Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest National Park in India, located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The wildlife shelter acquires an area of 520.8 sq. km and owns a countless variety of flora and fauna. Lying on the foothills of the Himalayas, on the banks of the Ramganga River, this national park offers views that are a treat to the eyes.

Nanda Devi National Park

Nanda Devi National park is located around the peak of Nanda Devi in the state of Uttarakhand. Adorned as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1988, the place acquires an area of 7,817 m and has a gathering of major Himalayan wildlife species. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Located at a distance of 30 km from Almora in the Kumaon hills, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarakhand is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries. This wildlife sanctuary is a homeland for 180 species of birds such as eagles, woodpeckers, monals, etc. Apart from it, Jackals, Red Fox, Grey Langurs, Black Himalayan Bear, Chital, Himalayan Goral, and Wild boars are a part of the wildlife at Binsar. 

In addition, there is a place called Zero Point in the sanctuary from where beautiful views of Himalayan peaks like Kedarnath Peak, Shivling, Trishul, and Nanda Devi can be enjoyed. The other attraction here is mesmerizing sunrise and sunset views.

Apart from wildlife safari, bird watching and trekking are two of the popular activities at Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. It is sometimes referred to as the ‘Second Valley of Flowers’ as it turns beautifully red after the blooming of red-colored flowers in March. Oak trees and pine trees are found in plenty here.

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary opens throughout the year. However, the best time to visit Binsar Sanctuary is from October to March, when the weather remains perfect for spotting the wildlife species in their natural habitat.

Rajaji National Park in Uttarakhand

Rajaji National Park is a popular national park of Uttarakhand, located along the foothills of the Shivalik Ranges in the lap of the Himalayas. The park is stretched over the Pauri Garhwal, Dehradun, and Saharanpur districts of Uttarakhand. 

The park has an incredible beauty with various flora and fauna, which draws the attention of both nature and wildlife lovers. This park acquires an area of 820.42 sq. km and is home to numerous avian species. Rajaji National Park in Uttarakhand remains open from 15th November to 15th June, and it is the perfect time to witness the sheer beauty of the place. Gangotri National Park

The Gangotri National Park is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and is surrounded by coniferous forests. The park is stretched over 1563 sq. km with a countless variety of flora and fauna, including rare species like snow leopard, black bear, brown bear, and musk deer.
