After arriving in Cochin, meet our representative who’ll escort you to your hotel. Check-in at the hotel. After relaxing for some time and embark to visit some of the major tourist attractions of Cochin like the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church and Jewish Synagogue. Another major attraction of Cochin is the Chinese Fishing nets. Later in the evening enjoy the boat cruise in the beautiful port city of Cochin. In the evening you can go for a boat cruise and watch this beautiful port city of Cochin.
Next day in the morning wake up early and after breakfast, take a leisurely walk to the Fish and Spice market of Cochin. In the afternoon return to the hotel to attend the lecture on Indian cooking by an expert chef. After the lecture try your hand at cooking to master the art of cooking Kerala Seafood. Spend the night at a hotel.
After breakfast leave for Periyar. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. After resting and relaxing for a while move out to explore the Periyar wildlife sanctuary that is a Tiger Reserve. In the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake. Return to your hotel to attend the class on cooking that will teach you the use of traditional spices in cooking. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Post breakfast, start for a guided walking tour to the spice villages that are scattered all over Periyar. While on this tour enhance your knowledge about the use of spices to enhance your skills of cooking good seafood. Get to know more about the uses of these spices and enhance your knowledge on the cooking skills. Stay at your hotel in Periyar for the night.
After breakfast, drive from Periyar to Kumarakom which is our next destination on the tour. Kumarakom is situated on the bank of Vembanad Lake that is the prefect place for the bird watchers. On reaching Kumarakom check-in at the hotel. Where an interesting event “Conquering the Coconut” awaits you. During this event you will be given a demonstration on plucking, de-husking , breaking, grating and finally on the use of these grated coconuts. After the event step out to witness and enjoy the sunset on the backwaters of Kumarakom on a boat cruise. Later on return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
In the morning, post breakfast head forward to explore the beautiful island of Kumarakom. Board a boat to cruise along the backwater and get a glimpse of the lifestyle of the people of Kumarakom. In the afternoon attend the various activities that will help you enhance your cooking skills. Stay in your hotel for the night.
Start your day with an early breakfast and then moving towards Puthenangadi while cruising along the water of Vembanad lake. Upon reaching Puthenangadi, drive straight towards the Mararikulam Beach. Overnight to be spent at your hotel.
In the morning get transferred to the Cochin airport to catch a flight for your onward destination.
