Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrive Guwahati

Your tour to the Seven Sister States starts from your arrival at Guwahati airport. Our tour representative will pick you up from the airport and assist you at the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and unwind. Relax for a while and then you will proceed to visiting Kamakhya Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya. This temple is the iconic landmark of the Guwahati and is among the 51 Shakti Peethas. Seek blessings at the temple and soak in the spiritual vibes.

In the afternoon, enjoy the river cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra and witness the magnificent sunset over the river. The rest of the time is free for shopping in the local market. The city has four main shopping centers that are Pan Bazaar, Paltan Bazaar, Fancy Bazaar, and Uzan Bazaar. Guwahati is popular for tea, handicrafts, Assam silk, Assamese traditional jewelry, and singing bowls. You can buy souvenirs for your loved ones.

After shopping, return to the hotel in the evening. Enjoy the scrumptious dinner and have a sound sleep.

Day 2: Guwahati – Shillong ( 100 km / 3 Hrs approx.)

Wake up to a beautiful day and have a healthy breakfast. After this, complete the check-out formalities and head towards Shillong. En route, you will visit Umiam Lake, which is renowned for its ethereal beauty. You can also enjoy boating there and marvel at the enchanting beauty of the lake. Also, savor some delicious Momos near the lake.

Later, you will head towards Shillong and on arrival, you will complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. The rest of the time is at your leisure. You can enjoy shopping in the evening in the Police Bazaar where you can buy bamboo handicrafts, shawls, stoles, and organic products.

Day 3: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong( 54 km / 2 Hrs approx.)

Greet the day with a hearty meal and then hit the road for a visit to Cherrapunjee. This was once regarded as the wettest place on Earth owing to the massive monsoon rainfall. This alluring village is popular for its breathtaking beauty and tourist attractions. You will visit Noh-ka-Likai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Don Bosco Shrine, Wah Kaba Falls, Kynrem Falls, Arwah Cave, and other caves in and around Cherrapunjee.

After the sightseeing tour, return to the Shillong and en-route visit Elephant Falls as well as Shillong Peak. Enjoy the panoramic view of the scenic countryside from the highest point in the state.

Return to the hotel and savor the delicious dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

Day 4: Shillong – Mawlynnong - Shillong( 78 km / 2.5 Hrs approx.)

Start your day with the toothsome meal and proceed for the sightseeing tour of Mawlynnong. It was declared as the cleanest village in Asia and renowned for its ecotourism initiative. This village is popular for some of the most picturesque scenery with lush valleys. Visit Jingmaham Living Root Bridge, Mawlynnong Village, and waterfalls. After that visit Dawki, which is a small border town in the Jaintia Hills. Snuggled amidst India and Bangladesh, Dawki is a major center of trade between India and Bangladesh. Here you will visit the Umngot River and enjoy boating in the crystal clear lake.

After enjoying the sightseeing tour, you will leave for Shillong. Return to the hotel, have a flavorsome meal at the hotel, and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 5: Shillong- Bhalukpong( 300 km / 7 Hrs approx.)

Arise to a beautiful morning, savor the appetizing meal, and complete the checkout formalities. Head towards Bhalukpong, which is considered the entry point of Arunachal Pradesh. This beautiful town is a delight for tourists. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and unwind. After freshen up, you will visit Tipi Orchidarium, which is home to over 2,600 cultivated orchids from 80 different species. Explore the enchanting beauty of this quaint town and then return to the hotel.

Day 6: Bhalukpong – Dirang( 140 km / 4.5 Hrs approx.)

Enjoy the toothsome breakfast and then complete the check-out formalities at the hotel. Head towards Dirang, which is situated on the bank of River Kameng and is a gateway to Tawang. Enjoy the road trip and the scenic vistas en route.

On arrival in Dirang, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and rest for a while. In the afternoon, get ready for a visit to Dirang Dzong, which was built in the 17th century to save Bomdila from the neighboring states. The local architectural design of the Dzong is an eye-catcher. You will also visit Monpa Village, which is one of the richest biodiversity and heritage spots in the country. Explore the village and you can also talk with the locals to learn about the history and folklore of the village.

Later, after the sightseeing tour you will return to the hotel. Enjoy a tasty dinner and have a sound sleep in your bed.

Day 7: Dirang – Tawang( 135 km / 4 Hrs approx.)

Start your day with a hearty meal and then complete the check-out formalities at the hotel. Hit the road to reach Tawang. En route, you will visit Sela Pass, which is a high-altitude mountain pass that has an elevation of 4,710 m above sea level. You can enjoy the awe-inspiring landscapes of the marvelous surroundings. Also visit Sela Lake, which is located on the top of Sela Pass. Spend some quality time there and relax amidst the serene nature.

Also visit Jaswant Garh War Memorial, which was built to commemorate the Indian Rifleman of 4 Garhwal Rifles Jaswant Singh Rawat. Lastly, visit Nuranang Fall that is among the most beautiful falls in the country. You can enjoy the wonder of nature here and witness the enchanting beauty of this place.

Later, head towards Tawang. On arrival, complete the check-in formalities. The rest of the time is at your leisure. Savor the lip-smacking dinner and slip into your cozy bed for a sound sleep.

Day 8: Tawang Sightseeing Tour

On the 8th day of the tour, after having breakfast embark on the sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse. It is a gem of Tawang and was founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in the year 1680-81. The monastery perched on the spur of a hill, about 10,000 feet above sea level, and has ravines in the south and west, a narrow ridge on the north, and a gradual slope on the east. It offers a commanding and picturesque view of the valley. From a distance, the monastery appears like a fort. This is an architectural marvel, which houses 450 monks. You can spend some time here and soak in the spiritual aura.

Also visit Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of Sixth Dalia Lama and Ani Gompa. Later, you will visit the Tawang War Memorial, which is dedicated to the martyrs of the Sino-India War of 1962.

In the evening you are free for shopping in the local market. There are three major markets in Tawang namely Old Market, Nehru Market, and New market where you can buy traditional jewelry, prayer wheels, flags, Buddha statues, wall hangings, good luck charms, and other gift items that are available in wood, brassware and in some cases fishbone. You can also buy wood items carved by the local people – special bowls, spoons, and masks (used in religious dances).

Day 9: Tawang - Bomdila( 177 km / 5 Hrs approx.)

Enjoy the lip-smacking breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel, and proceed to Bomdila. En-route visit Nag Temple, Bomdila Monastery, and if time permits, also visit Craft Center. After the sightseeing tour, head towards Bomdila.

On arrival, complete the check-in formalities and unwind. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can stroll near the resort or relax in your room.

Have a delicious dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Bomdila – Kaziranga ( 243 km / 7 Hrs approx.)

Wake up to a hearty meal, complete the check out from the hotel, and head towards Kaziranga. This town is popular for Kaziranga National Park, which is an amazing place to visit in Assam. It is home to one-horned rhinoceros and also a vast number of wildlife species like tiger, wild buffalo, gaur, leopard, stag, deer, hog, and wild boar with a large number of migratory birds. On your arrival in Kaziranga, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and unwind. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Day 11: Kaziranga Sightseeing Tour

Wake up early morning and proceed for an elephant safari from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM in the western range of the national park. You can hear the chirruping of the birds, which will be a treat for your ears. The main attraction of this wildlife park includes One-horned Rhinoceros, tiger, wild buffalo, elephant, deer, python, and a variety of migratory birds. You can spot some of the exotic wildlife species in the national park. Enjoy the thrilling wildlife safari.

Later, return to the hotel for refreshment. After breakfast, head towards the nearby local village to see their way of life and livelihood and also visit Tea Garden & Orchid Sanctuary. Some of the famous Tea Gardens of Assam are Methoni, Hathkhuli, Difalu, Borchapori, and Behora. You can buy the world-famous Assam Tea from here.

After the sightseeing tour savors the lunch and then again proceed to the park for yet another round of wildlife safari by jeep. The evening time is free at leisure.

Day 12: Kaziranga – Majuli ( 243 km/ 7hrs approx.)

Start day 12 of your Northeast tour with a flavorsome breakfast. Complete the checkout formalities and then leave for Nimati Ghat to take the ferry for Majuli. It is the largest freshwater island in the world and settlement of Vaishnavite monasteries. It is also known as the cultural capital of Assam. To reach this island, you need to cross the mighty Brahmaputra on a ferry. /p>

After reaching the island, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and relax. Later, you can explore the natural setting of the place and take a leisure walk./p>

Have dinner at the hotel. Later, slip under the blankets and enjoy a sound sleep.

Day 13: In Majuli

Post breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Majuli. Visit the Kamala Bari Satra and Auniati Satra that are major centers of Vaishnavite culture here. You will visit these places in the morning. Enjoy the natural beauty of the region and also explore the nearby places. Learn about the lost art of mask making.

You can also spend time spotting rare birds and the later part of the day spend with the local people learning about their traditional arts and crafts. Witness the practice of Mask Making for Bhaona, the traditional operas, which depict stories from Hindu mythology.

In the afternoon, attend a prayer session at the Namghar (temple) and in the evening you can enjoy the cultural events by the local artists.

Afterward, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay and enjoy dinner.

Day 14: Majuli – Kohima (232 km / 7Hrs approx.)

After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and head towards the Ghat to take the ferry for Jorhat. Upon your arrival to Kohima, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. After freshen up, get ready for the sightseeing tour of Kohima. You will visit the Kohima War Centenary (closed on Sundays), which has been constructed in the memory of martyrs of the Second World War. It was built by the Japanese force who had invaded the place.

Return to the hotel after the exploration tour. Have a scrumptious dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15: Kohima Sightseeing Tour

Dress up and have a delectable breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will embark on the sightseeing tour of Kohima and explore the worth-visiting places that make this day memorable. You will hit the road to go to Khonoma village, a well-known historical village. This is the last base for the Angami Nagas. They are the rebellions and have fought a battle against the British who were advancing to the Naga Hills in the year 1879. You can spend some time with the locals and learn about the culture.

In the afternoon, you will visit the State Museum where you will get a sneak-peak into the tribal lifestyle and rich culture of the Nagas.

In the evening, return back to Kohima. Savor dinner at the hotel and slip into your cozy bed for a restful night.

Day 16: Kohima –Touphema Village – Kohima (34 km / 1 hour)

After having a lip-smacking breakfast, get ready and head straight to the Touphema Village Resort, which is owned and managed by the Angami Naga community. It is an ancient village heritage, which has been exclusively built for tourists to get a glimpse of the lifestyle of the locals. You can get an insight into the Naga social system. The scenic locales are a treat for nature lovers.

Later, take delight in the cultural presentation by village folks. In the evening return back to Kohima. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 17: Kohima – Imphal (138 km / 4 hrs approx.)

Begin day 17 of the tour with the healthy breakfast and then complete the checkout formalities from the hotel. Start your road trip to Imphal. Enjoy the natural beauty en route.

On arrival, check in to the hotel and unwind. After freshen up, get ready for the sightseeing tour. Visit Shri Govindajee Temple, which is the major attraction of the day. This magnificent temple is the largest Vaishnavite temple in Imphal and was erected during the first half of the 18th century. It is dedicated to Lord Govinda or Krishna and Radha. This temple stands adjacent to the former palace of the erstwhile ruler of Manipur.

In the evening, return to the hotel. The rest of the time is free at your leisure. Have a delicious dinner and enjoy the sound sleep in your room.

Day 18: Sightseeing Tour of Imphal

After a wholesome breakfast, get ready for the sightseeing tour of Imphal. You will visit the popular Keibul Lamjao National Park, which is famed as the world’s only floating national park. It is also a home to Sangai- the endangered dancing species of a deer. Enjoy the exploration tour of the national park and spot some of the exotic species of wildlife.

The other visits of the day include Loktak Lake, which is the largest freshwater lake in the northeast region of India, the INA Memorial, and the Japanese War Memorial.

After the tour, return to the hotel. Enjoy a flavorsome dinner and have a sound sleep.

Day 19: Imphal Tour

Wake up to a beautiful day, savor a delicious breakfast, and get ready for the sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Andro Village, which is an offbeat place in Imphal and an amazing place to sneak peek into the rich history of the state. Everything in that village is shrouded in ancient folklore. This village is situated 27 km from Imphal and is an ancient Meitei Village. The inhabitants still stick to the age-old traditions, customs, and lifestyle.

Afterward visit the Kangla Fort, which is situated on the bank of the Imphal River. This palace holds religious, historical as well as archeological significance. Then you will visit the Ima Market, which is run by women. You can shop for household stuff, handlooms, and handicrafts as souvenirs. Lastly, you will visit the World War II cemetery, which has over 1,600 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War.

After the sightseeing tour, return to the hotel. Enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 20: Imphal – Moreh – Imphal ( 108 km / 3Hrs)

Kick start your day with a healthy breakfast and then leave early morning to visit the Moreh, which is the Indo-Myanmar border town. On arrival in Moreh, you cross over to the Myanmar side and visit the nearest town of Tamu to witness the local culture and lifestyle. You will also visit the Buddhist Pagoda and the local market. Enjoy shopping in the Namphalong Market and buy some souvenirs for your loved ones.

Later in the evening, return to Imphal. Savor the scrumptious dinner and have a sound sleep in your cozy bed.

Day 21: Imphal – Aizawl (By Flight) ( 400 km/ 1 Hrs)

Have a healthy breakfast and then complete the check-out formalities. You will have an assisted transfer to the airport to board the flight for Aizawl.

Upon your arrival in Aizawl, our tour representative will pick you and assist you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and unwind. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can stroll near the resort or relax in your room.

Day 22: Sightseeing Tour of Aizawlphal

Relish an appetizing breakfast at the hotel and give a perfect start to your day with a sightseeing tour at Aizawl. You will visit the famous museums, the Zoological Garden in Durtlang, and Handloom and Handicraft centers.

Later, visit a nearby Mizo tribal village where you can observe the traditional lifestyle of the people. You can also enjoy the mesmerizing views of the surrounding region from the village. In the evening, enjoy shopping at the Bara Bazar. You can buy handicrafts, cane and bamboo items, finely woven handloom shawls, and garments.

Return to the hotel after the sightseeing tour of Aizawl. Overnight stay at Aizawl.

Day 23: Aizawl Tour

On the 23rd day of the Northeast tour, embark on the sightseeing tour of the city after breakfast. Visit State Museum at MacDonald Hill where you can see the textiles of different communities of Mizos, distinctive traditional musical instruments, different kinds of headgears and ornaments, and few archeological specimens. Also, visit various Handlooms and Handicrafts Centres and enjoy shopping.

In the afternoon, visit a viewpoint situated in the Aizawl Theological College, Durtlang from where you can enjoy the enchanting view of the city. Later, proceed to Berawtlang Tourist Centre, which is a popular picnic spot. You can spend some quality time there with your loved ones.

Return to the hotel after the Aizawl city tour. Have delicious food in the hotel and enjoy a restful sleep.

Day 24: Aizawl - Agartala (By Flight) (337 km / 50 mint approx.)

Greet the day with the toothsome breakfast and check out from the hotel. Head towards Aizawl Airport to board the flight for Agartala. On arrival, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel in Agartala. Complete the check-in formalities and relax. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can spend the day at your wish.

Day 25: Agartala – Unakoti – Agartala

Savor the scrumptious breakfast and then get ready for the sightseeing tour of Unakoti.

Post breakfast proceeds for visiting Unakoti. It is a historic Shaivites pilgrimage spot and dates back to the 7th – 9th centuries. It is a popular tourist spot where you can see the rock-caved figures and stone images. The marvelous rock carvings and murals with their primitive beauty form the chief attraction. Blessed with the natural beauty, scenic landscapes, and waterfalls, the region is a treat for the eyes and soul.

As per Hindu mythology, when Lord Shiva was going to Kashi along with one crore gods and goddesses he made a night halt at this location. He asked all the gods and goddesses to wake up before sunrise so that they can proceed for Kashi. However, in the morning, only Lord Shiva wakes up and no one else could get up. So, Lord Shiva gets angry and he curses others to become stone images and as a result of this, Unakoti comprises one less than a crore stone image and carvings.

After the sightseeing tour of this magnificent place, return back to Agartala. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 26: Agartala – Neermahal – Agartala (53 km / 1.5 hours approx.)

Greet the early morning, enjoy an appetizing breakfast, and head towards Neermahal for the full day sightseeing tour. It is a former royal palace built by the king of Tripura, Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishor Manikya. Situated in the middle of the Rudra Sagar Lake, Neermahal is a spectacular palace. It is a perfect place for nature lovers as they can rejuvenate amidst the tranquil natural beauty. Explore the palace and get glimpses of the rich cultural and traditional heritage of the bygone era.

Afterward visit Tripura Sundari Temple in Matabari, which is also known as Devi Tripureshwari. Seek blessings at the temple and then head towards Agartala. En route visit Sipahijala, Ujjayanta Palace, Kunjaban Palace, and Jagannath Temple. The evening is free at your leisure. You can rest in your room or visit the market for shopping.

Day 27: Agartala – Udaipur – Agartala ( 50 km / 1 hrs approx.)

Arise to a nutritious breakfast and then proceed for a day excursion to Udaipur, which is also known as Rangamati. This city is popular for temples and the most famous of which is the Tripura Sundari temple, which is one of the 51 Shakti Pethas. This temple was constructed by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya Debbarma in 1501. The temple is located on the bank of the lake known as Kalyan Sagar. You will also visit Bhuvaneshwari Temple. Seek blessings at the temples and soak in the blissful aura.

Udaipur is also known as the city of lakes and temples. You can also visit a national library named "Nazrul Granthagar", after Kazi Nazrul Islam.

In the afternoon, return back to Agartala and the rest of the evening is at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Agartala.

Day 28: Leave Agartalal

This is the last of the exploration tour of the Seven Sister States. Post breakfast, complete the check-out formalities from the hotel, and have an assisted transfer to Agartala Airport for onward destination.
