Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrive in Mumbai
Arrive at Mumbai International Airport and start your Tour. Our IHPL representative will receive you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Once you complete the check-in formalities at the hotel, you are free to spend the day at leisure. You can do any activity you want to. You can visit the popular attractions, indulge in fun activities at the beach, or gorge on street food. Stay overnight.
Day 2: Mumbai - Bangalore
The morning is free for you to relax. In the afternoon, proceed to the airport to board a flight to Bangalore to continue your tour. Upon arrival, transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Take a stroll around the nearby locations, interact with the locals, or visit the famous markets. Stay overnight.
Day 3: Bangalore - Shravanbelagola - Chikmagalur
On the third day, have breakfast and take a city tour, visiting Lal Bagh, the Mysore Arts and Crafts Center, the Botanical Gardens, and Nandi Temple. After lunch, leave for Chikmagalur, stopping at Shravanabelagola, an essential Jain religious site, on the way. On arrival, check-in at your hotel for the night.
Day 4: Chikmagalur - Belur - Halebid - Mysore
The tour continues to Mysore. En route, stop at the historical sites of Belur and Halebid for a while. These two small but beautiful temple towns are world heritage sites. These two sites are home to ancient temples built during the 12th century at the time of the reign of Hoysala. Later, continue driving to Mysore and check in to a hotel for an overnight stay. If time and energy permit, you can explore the nearby location on foot.
Day 5: Mysore
After breakfast, you will leave for a Mysore sightseeing tour that covers the City Palace, Chamundi Hill, and the local spice markets. The afternoon is free to relax at leisure. You will leave for an excursion trip to the splendid Brindavan Gardens in the evening. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Mysore - Bangalore - Cochin
On day 6, continue your tour from Mysore. Proceed by road to Bangalore, visiting Srirangapatna on the way. You may visit the Ranganathaswamy temple, Tipu Sultan’s fort, and other attractions. Reach the Bangalore airport to board a flight for Cochin. Upon arrival at Cochin airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day 7: Cochin - Kumarakom
After breakfast, leave for the Cochin sightseeing tour, which includes visits to St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Synagogue, and Mattancherry Palace. At noon, proceed to Kumarakom to continue the tour. Upon arrival, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel to spend the night.
Day 8: Backwaters Cruise
Spend the day at leisure in Kumarakom. In the morning, take a boat ride along the tranquil backwaters of Kerala. You will pass quaint villages, lush greenery, paddy fields, and coconut grooves. In the afternoon, enjoy a rejuvenating herbal oil massage, which is best for soothing spirits. In the evening, retire to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Kumarakom - Thekkady
Continue your tour with our representative, who will escort you on a drive toward Thekkady. On arrival, transfer to a resort. After a brief halt, proceed to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the most well-known ones in the country. Enjoy a wildlife safari inside the park. Stay overnight.
Day 10: Thekkady - Madurai
Leave for a boat ride along the serene Periyar Lake in the morning. You will indulge in bird watching and spotting several beautiful avifauna species. After lunch, continue driving to Madurai. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. In the evening, visit the ancient Meenakshi Temple before retiring to the hotel to spend the night.
Day 11: Madurai - Chennai
During the day, leave for a Madurai sightseeing tour. Then, board the scheduled flight to Chennai to continue the tour. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight accommodations.
Day 12: Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
On day 12 of your tour, experience the rich historical and religious legacy of South India with a day trip to Kanchipuram – one of the seven sacred cities of Hindus- and Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO world heritage site. Enjoy a guided tour of the ancient rock-cut temples, which are architectural masterpieces. Also, visit the handloom industry, where you can buy excellent-quality silk. The night is spent at the hotel in Chennai.
Day 13: Departure from Chennai
In the morning, leave for a sightseeing tour of Chennai, including Fort St. George, Victoria Art Gallery, San Thome Cathedral, Bronze Gallery, Chennai Museum, and Kapaleeswarar Temple. Later, transfer to Chennai airport to board a flight back home.
