Spiti Valley Road Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi

After reaching the Delhi airport, meet our representative who'll escort you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel to relax in the cozy comfort of its room. In the afternoon after lunch, move out to explore the major tourist attractions of Delhi. The major tourist attractions of Delhi include Qutub Minar, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Red Fort, Humanyun Tomb, Birla Mandir, Red Fort and the India Gate. Stay the night in the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi – Chandigarh

Next morning after breakfast, you will have an assisted transfer to Delhi railway station to board a train to Chandigarh. Upon reaching Chandigarh check-in at one of our listed hotels. Relax for a while in the hotel room. Later in the day, embark on a sightseeing tour of Chandigarh. The major tourist attractions of Chandigarh are the Capitol, Government Museum and Art Gallery, International Dolls Museum, Rock Garden and the Botanical Garden. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chandigarh – Manali

Post breakfast, drive straight to Manali. It is a picturesque hill station encircled by snowy mountains and dense pinewoods with the meandering Beas River. On reaching Manali, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting for a while, move out to explore the major tourist attractions of Manali. First, visit the Beas Kund which is regarded as sacred by the Hindus. The other major tourist attractions of Manali include Naggar Castle, Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery and the Urusvati Himalayan Folk Art Museum. Finally, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Manali

Next morning after breakfast, move out for an excursion to Solang valley. This valley offers its visitors awesome scenery of snow-clad mountains and glaciers. The valley is well known for adventurous sports. On reaching Solang valley, you may indulge in adventure sports like parachuting, skiing, zorbing and paragliding. Later explore the valley for its beautiful surroundings. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Manali – Losar

Post breakfast, drive to Losar. Stop midway at Rohtang Pass, the lofty mountain path that connects Kullu with Spiti and Lahaul. Rohtang Pass is a popular picnic spot. On reaching Rohtang Pass enjoy the striking sight of glaciers, mountains and the landscape. If time permits, you can enjoy adventure sports such as skiing, mountain biking and paragliding. After exploring Rohtang Pass, continue the drive to Losar. On reaching Losar, check in at one of our listed hotels. Explore this picturesque hamlet adorned with the carpet of flowers on the pastures and ranches. Stay the night at Losar.

Day 6: Losar – Kaza

In the morning, after breakfast, leave for Kaza. Situated along the Spiti River at an elevation of 3650 meters above sea level, Kaza is the valley's largest township and commercial center. Kaza is very popular among tourists because of its central location and connection to the rest of the valley and outside. On reaching Kaza, visit the Tangyud Monastery where the Key Gompa is. Enjoy an overnight stay at Kaza.

Day 7: Kaza – Tabo

Post breakfast, drive straight to Tabo Gompa. The Tabo Gompa is one of the greatest artistic treasures in the Himalayan region, to view its paintings and sculptures, some of which are over 1000 years old. Retire for the night at Tabo.

Day 8: Tabo – Kibber

In the morning, after breakfast, drive straight to Kibber. The Kibber village lies in a narrow valley and is located 16 km from Kaza. It is the world's highest motorable village that is also fully electrified. On reaching Kibber visit the Buddhist Ki monastery. The monastery features a big carved prayer wheel and numerous captivating frescoes. Also, visit the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary. Fluttering colorful prayer flags make up a beautiful sight. Finally, enjoy an overnight stay at Kibber.

Day 9: Kibber

Early in the morning, start trekking expeditions, mountaineering and various other adventure games to enjoy an adrenaline rush in your body. You may enjoy trekking at the most preferred location for an expedition, the Dangmachan peak. The Dangmachan peak is situated at the height of 5157 meters. After trekking, return to Kibber for the night.

Day 10: Kibber – Pangrochen

The trek is uphill and though a bit tiring, compensates by way of the grand scenery all around. We camp at Pangrochen with its solitary freshwater spring that sustains the sparse wildlife at this altitude.

Day 11: Pangrochen – Parang La

Post breakfast trek over 5577 mts Parang La. This downhill walk is over the Parang glacier, finally emerging into Shrub land. The steep inclines gradually smoothen out as we reach the campsite at Largyup.

Day 12: Paralang La – Tarang Yogma

We keep walking until we reach a massive rock and then cross the river to the right. Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 13: Trarang Yogma – Norbu Sumdo

As we walk along the valley, we cross a stream or two and finally arrive at the green lush oasis of Norbu Sumdo, a sight for sore eyes. Camp here in the desert stillness for the night.

Day 14: Norbu Sumdo – Kiangdam

Today's walk takes us through barren mountains and ridges to the shores of this large 15 by 5 mile salt-water lake high in the western Himalayas and bordering the extensive Great Changthang Desert Plateau. Enjoy camping at Kiangdam.

Day 15: Kiangdam

Spend the day resting in the incredible setting of Kiangdam.

Day 16: Kiangdam – Korzok

Trek to Korzok, the village and gompa at the lake's northern shore. Overnight stay in Korzok.

Day 17: Korzok – Gyama

After breakfast, start your trek to Gyama. This is a relatively low mountain pass. We cross a number of temporary campsites of the Changpa nomads. Enjoy an overnight stay at camp.

Day 18: Gyama – Rajung Karu

Today, after breakfast, you will embark on the trek. Cross the Kyamamuri La and trek onward to Rajung Karu, another small campsite. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 19: Rajung Karu – Nuruchan

Start your trek over the low Harlam Konka mountain ridge and reach Nuruchan, a small isolated village in the middle of nowhere. Overnight stay in Nuruchan.

Day 20: Nuru Chan – Tso kar

In the morning, after breakfast, start at Tso Kar Lake. Crossing ridges and hillsides, reach the legendary Tso Kar Lake. Tso Kar Lake features small hills of crystallized salt on its shores. Enjoy camping near the lake.

Day 21: Tso Kar – Leh

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Leh via 5328 meters Tanglang La. On reaching Leh, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting for a while in the cozy comfort of the hotel room, embark on a full day excursion to the famous monasteries. Attend the praying ceremony at Thiksey monastery. Later in the day, enjoy a drive to the Hemis monastery, the most famous monastery of Ladakh region. Also visit Shey Palace. Retire for the night at a hotel.

Day 22: Leh

Post breakfast, leave for the Khardungla top. While going to Khardungla top, you would be driving on the highest motor drive road in the world with a height of 18,390 feet. In the later part of the day, enjoy shopping extravaganza. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 23: Leh – Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to Leh airport to board a flight to Delhi in the morning. On reaching Delhi, check-in at the hotel. Rest and relax in the hotel for the day. In the evening, you may take a leisurely walk to explore the pulsating nightlife of Delhi. Stay the night at the hotel.

Day 24: Delhi

The following day after an early breakfast, transfer to the Delhi airport to board a flight for the onward journey.
