Wayanad in summers: March - May
The summer season begins with the coming of March and it ends in May. Summers are hot and humid in Wayanad as the temperature goes up to 37°C during the day. It is hard to beat the heat during this time which makes sightseeing almost impossible. However, evenings are pleasant as gentle breeze blows through the place. In the evening, you can visit attractions such as Kuruwa Dweep, Meenmutty Falls, Pookot Lake and Banasura Sagar Dam.
Wayanad in monsoons: June - September
In between June and September, Wayanad welcomes heavy rainfall. The rainfall further brings down the temperature to somewhere around 25°C. It is advised to avoid this season for a visit because of heavy rainfall and torrential winds.
Wayanad in winters: December - February
December brings in the winter season which lasts till February. The temperature during the season ranges between 18°C and 28°C. The days are calm and pleasant and the evenings are cold. It is the perfect season for sightseeing around the place.
