Summers here, are hot and dry with mercury level rising maximum to 33 degree centigrade. Summer months are regarded best to spot tigers in the park. Due to thirst animals flock around the lakes of this forest. The summer time is therefore the best period in case of viewing the wild animals of this sanctuary.
At Nagarhole National Park the winters are cooler but short spanned. From November to January are the winter seasons with temperature dropping to a minimum of 14 degree centigrade. This time is exceeding pleasant and best for those who do not wish to perspire much.
From June to September are the rains which makes roads washed out and area muddy. It is recommend not to visit this park during the rainy season.
