The rail link of Gokarna is connected to the railway station of Margao. However, the nearest major railway station to Gokarna is in Ankola, which is around 20 km away. Once you reach, Ankola, you can rent a private taxi to arrive here.

By Air

Dabolim airport of Goa is the nearest airport to Gokarna, which is 140 km. This airport is well-connected with all the major cities in India and prime international cities in Germany as well as UK. Once at the airport, you can rent a taxi from the airport to Gokarna. Bangalore is another major airport from Gokarna that is 489 km away.

By Bus

Gokarna is easily accessible through KSRTC buses. You can board a bus from Madgaon (125 km), Mangalore (299 km), Dabolim (140 km) and Bangalore (489 km). The other option is of private tourist buses or renting a private cab.

Room Types

SwaSwara comprises of a total of 27 self-contained Villas, which are erected in local Konkan- style houses. These spacious Villas include of modern plumbing, air –conditioning along with other modern comforts. The Villas here have taken their inspiration from the traditional family estates, dotted along the Konkan Coast, but come with a few modern facilities fitted-in so that the authentic touch doesn’t gets away. In the construction of these Villas, only natural materials have been used, sourced from local artisans of the area. Each Villa also comes with an open green space where you can practice Yoga.


The Kitchen at SwaSwara Gokarna churns out sumptuous delicacies based on the principle of Ayurveda and Yoga, keeping it simple and fresh. The chef and his team takes care of the balancing between cooked and raw food, right kind of textures and perfect quantities so that your nutrition and digestion can get better. The vegetables used to prepare the food here are taken from the resort’s own farm. Meat and hard liquor are not included in the menu of the resort but seafood delicacies here are prepared from the freshest of catches and a selection of Indian as well as imported wines. The resort also serves mouth-watering food to guests who follow a vegan or gluten- free lifestyle.  Guests on Shanti, Prana or Swastha program have a special meal plan, prescribed by the doctor.
