Best fit: November to February

These months generally provide the best balance of pleasant temperatures, lower rainfall and comfortable outdoor sightseeing. They are particularly convenient for Pattaya beaches and the Coral Island excursion.

Also possible: March, April and October

March and April are generally workable but considerably hotter, especially in Bangkok. October is a transition month; rain remains possible, but conditions typically begin improving towards the cooler season.

Avoid / least suitable: May to September

These months fall within the wetter part of the year. The itinerary can still operate, but rain, thunderstorms and changing sea conditions can affect the Coral Island speedboat trip and water activities.

  • The Bangkok-Pattaya road transfer takes around two hours, but traffic can increase journey time. The itinerary itself lists approximately 147 km between the two cities.
  • The Coral Island excursion is weather- and sea-dependent. Speedboat schedules and water activities may change if conditions are unsuitable.
  • Parasailing and underwater walking are optional and are not included in the standard itinerary price.
  • Pattaya has strong tropical sun, so sunscreen and hydration are important during the island excursion. Thailand Tourism specifically advises visitors to Pattaya to use sunscreen regularly.
  • Dress respectfully for Bangkok’s Buddhist temples and remove footwear where required.
  • All non-Thai travellers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entry. It can be submitted within three days before arrival and is separate from a visa.
  • For Indian ordinary passport holders, Thailand’s revised rules effective 15 September 2026 provide visa-exempt tourism entry for stays of up to 30 days. Entry requirements should still be reconfirmed before departure.
  • Keep the Bangkok leisure day flexible rather than overloading it; city traffic can make travelling between distant attractions slower than expected.
  • Travellers sensitive to boat movement may want to carry motion-sickness medication for the Koh Larn speedboat.
  • From 15 September 2026, India is included under Thailand’s 30-day visa-exemption scheme for tourism.
