What this helicopter yatra is designed to solve

This 5-night / 6-day Char Dham itinerary covers Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath while reducing the long road journeys associated with the full circuit. It combines helicopter sectors with local transfers, accommodation and meals.

Why travellers choose this format

  • Complete the Char Dham circuit in a much shorter window than a road itinerary.
  • Reduce prolonged mountain-road travel.
  • Useful for senior travellers and families who want a more comfortable pilgrimage format.
  • Includes accommodation, transfers and meals through the yatra.
  • Dedicated support is available at the Dhams.

Know this before you book

  • Yamunotri still requires the final approach by palki/pony or on foot.
  • All four shrines are at high altitude; travellers with medical conditions should consult a doctor.
  • Flights are weather-dependent and timings are fixed.
  • Only 5 kg baggage is permitted per passenger.
  • Passenger weight and group weight directly affect flying eligibility and charges.

Your spiritual journey begins in Dehradun, the gateway to your Chardham Yatra by helicopter. Upon arrival at Dehradun airport or railway station, our representative will greet you and arrange a comfortable transfer to your hotel.

Complete check-in formalities at the hotel and unwind. You will be given duffle bags to carry your belongings for the upcoming journey. It is important to pack only the essentials in your duffle bag, as a maximum weight of 5 kg is permitted during the Yatra. Additionally, you will receive the contact details of the personnel responsible at each Dham.

It is advisable to arrive in Dehradun by 2 PM so that you have plenty of time for rest and preparation before starting your Char Dham yatra by helicopter the following morning.

Overnight stay in Dehradun.

At 7:30 AM, check out of the hotel and arrive at Sahastradhara Helipad. You will board the chopper here at 8:30 AM for Kharsali.

Upon landing at Kharsali Helipad at 9:00 AM, a representative will guide you to your hotel for check-in. Following breakfast, you will head out for Yamunotri Darshan.

You can choose to travel by palki (palanquin) or pony, as the trek takes approximately 5.5 hours for a round trip. Visit the sacred Yamunotri Temple, which is home to the source of the Yamuna River, and take the opportunity to relax in the rejuvenating hot springs nearby.

Following your darshan, you’ll explore Kharsali with its historical and devotional temples, Yamuna Mata Temple, and Shani Temple.

As the second day of your Char Dham Yatra by helicopter comes to an end, make your way back to your hotel in Kharsali.

Overnight stay in Kharsali.

Check out from Kharsali at 8:00 AM and arrive at the Kharsali heli-base by 9:00 AM. Take the helicopter to Harsil, and you will be there by 9:30 AM.

The road distance is approximately 25 km, and it will take about 1 hour to reach the Dham. After your visit to the Dham, you can explore attractions in Harsil, such as Bagodi Village, Mukhwa Village, and enjoy a beautiful nature walk near Jhalla. Additionally, you can visit the Shiv Temple near Harsil or take a short trek to Chholmi Village.

After a busy day, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Harsil.

On Day 4 of your 6-Day Chardham Yatra by Helicopter, you will visit Shri Kedarnath Ji. Check out of your hotel at 8:30 AM, then depart from Harsil at 9:30 AM for Sersi. You will arrive at the Sersi base at 10:00 AM.

After checking in at your hotel, take some time to freshen up. Further, enjoy a delicious breakfast before boarding a shuttle flight to Kedarnath.

After seeking blessings at Kedarnath Dham, proceed to the Kedarnath Ji helipad for the return journey to Sersi. Here, you will visit attractions like Triyugi Narayan Temple, Kalimath Mandir, Gaurikund, and Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Guptkashi.
