Best fit: November to February

This is the strongest period for the complete route, with better conditions for Phi Phi boat trips and more comfortable Bangkok sightseeing. November also marks the return of more favourable Andaman Sea conditions after the monsoon.

Also possible: March, April and October

March and April remain suitable for Phi Phi, though Bangkok becomes much hotter, particularly by April. October is a transition month: the trip is workable, but showers and variable sea conditions can still occur.

Avoid / least suitable: May to September

These months overlap with the wetter season, particularly around Phuket. The itinerary can operate, but boat trips, snorkelling and outdoor activities may be altered by rain or rough seas. Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay and Loko Bay also have an annual seasonal closure from 1 August to 30 September.

  • Phi Phi Island excursions are weather- and sea-dependent. Boat routes, timings and swimming stops can change at short notice.
  • Maya Bay does not allow swimming, and visitor numbers are controlled as part of ongoing ecosystem protection.
  • Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay and Loko Bay normally close 1 August–30 September, so the excursion must use alternative stops during this period.
  • Safari World is optional on Day 5, not a confirmed inclusion in the standard sightseeing programme.
  • Bangkok temple visits require respectful clothing; shoulders and knees should be covered, and individual temples may enforce additional dress rules.
  • All non-Thai nationals must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering Thailand. It can be submitted up to 72 hours before arrival.
  • For Indian ordinary passport holders, Thailand’s rules effective 15 September 2026 currently allow visa-exempt tourism stays of up to 30 days. This should be reconfirmed before travel.
  • Allow enough time for the Phuket–Bangkok domestic flight, including hotel transfers, airport check-in and baggage procedures.
  • If you are prone to seasickness, carry suitable medication for the Phi Phi boat journey.
  • Snorkelling near coral reefs now requires following stricter marine-conservation rules, including the use of life jackets unless an applicable recognised exemption applies.
