These months generally give the best balance of drier weather, better coastal conditions and clearer outdoor sightseeing, making them particularly suitable for Tanjung Benoa, Kintamani and sunset visits.

Also possible: March, October and November

These shoulder months remain workable, but showers and cloud can be less predictable. October is still within the broad dry-season window, while November starts moving into wetter conditions.

Least suitable: December to February

Bali remains visitable, but these are generally wetter months, so water sports, sunset views and outdoor sightseeing need greater flexibility.

  • Indian passport holders can currently use Indonesia’s Visa on Arrival/e-VOA route for qualifying short tourist stays; verify the exact visa category and fee before departure.
  • International arrivals must complete the All Indonesia arrival declaration. The system integrates immigration, customs, health and quarantine declarations and can be completed from three days before arrival.
  • Foreign visitors to Bali generally need to pay the IDR 150,000 Bali tourism levy once during their trip in Indonesia and retain the QR-code proof of payment.
  • Tanjung Benoa water sports are weather- and sea-dependent. The exact activities included in the package should be confirmed before travel.
  • Uluwatu is an active temple, so modest clothing and respectful behaviour are important.
  • Keep sunglasses, phones and loose belongings secure at Uluwatu because monkeys live around the temple complex.
  • Kintamani is higher and generally cooler than Bali’s coastal areas, so carrying a light layer can be useful.
  • Bali road travel can take longer than map distances suggest because of traffic, particularly around southern Bali and Ubud.
  • Kecak and Barong performances are listed as optional, so do not present them as confirmed inclusions unless tickets are actually bundled.
  • If travel coincides with Nyepi, normal sightseeing and airport movements are suspended during Bali’s Day of Silence, so the itinerary must be adjusted.
