Itinerary Details
Day 1: Colombo-Pinnawela-Kandy           

On arriving at Colombo airport, meet our tour representative who helps you in an assisted transfer to Kandy. On the way, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a popular attraction of Sri Lanka, which is home to around 65 orphan elephants. After reaching Kandy, check-into your hotel. Later you are free to spend the day as per your own liking. Explore the surround on your own, visit the local market, interact with the locals, relish the popular local delicacies and more. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 2: Kandy Tour

Post breakfast on day 2, leave for sightseeing in this UNESCO world heritage site. Around 480 m above the sea level, this historic city is encircled by Kanda Udu Rata hills and is home to a number of tourist attractions. Kandy has been the home of the last independent kingdom of Sri Lanka. The list of attractions of the day includes Botanical Gardens, the Temple of the tooth and campus of the Peradeniya University. When in Kandy, admire nice city views from upper lake drive. Do not forget to visit the local markets to shop for some nice silks, jewelry, gems, batiks and handicrafts. In the evening, attend a Kandyan Dance performance(optional). Stay overnight.

Day 3: Kandy-Nuwara Eliya

As you have breakfast, check-out and get an assisted transfer to Nuwara Eliya. On the way, visit a tea estate and factory. This place is known for being placed at the highest elevation in Sri Lanka and offers nice views of Piduruthalagala, the tallest peak at 2555 m. Nuwara Eliya was founded by the British during the 19th century and was fondly called ‘Little England’. Tourists today come here to enjoy the nice weather and to explore colonial-style bungalows. Do visit a factory and a plantation here to witness the whole tea brewing process. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya- Colombo

Today after an early morning breakfast, continue to Colombo, visiting Devon falls and the St Clair’s, on your way back. The largest city of Sri Lanka, it is modern vivacious busy city that is clinging to its to its colonial days. On reaching, visit the popular tourist attraction including the influential residential Cinnamon Gardens, Fort and Pettah, the Galle Face Green, the local market for shopping and so on. Stay overnight.

Day 5: Departure from Colombo

On the last day of the tour, post breakfast, get an assisted transfer to the Airport to board the flight back home.

INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS
  • Tourists may arrive through Charter Flights, Scheduled Flights or Private Jets, at both Katunayake and Mattala Airports.
  • Arrival of tourists would be decided by the testing capacity of the private laboratories as determined by the Ministry of Health and Minister of Tourism jointly.
  • Dual Citizens, spouses of foreign nationals and paid commercial passengers with foreign passports are allowed, following an adherence to the guidelines and protocols in place.
  • All flights bringing in tourists are required to consult the Civil Aviation Authority on the health protocols that need to be adhered to.
  • This guideline document is not applicable to Business Visas.
  • Special arrangements for the crew would be agreed upon in advance by the Civil Aviation and Airport Aviation Authority, according to the current health guidelines in place.
  • Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) will inform the details of arrivals to the Ministry of Health via the following emails and the local area Medical Officer prior to the arrival of the respective flights.

VISA APPLICATION
  • All visas must be applied online and tourism mobile app is incorporated into the online visa application form mobile app made available on both the Play store and the Appstore.
  • All travelers are required to pre-purchase 2 PCR tests via the app; should the stay exceed 7 days, the traveler is required to purchase 3 PCR tests; as deemed by the Medical Officer of Health.
  • Currently, all countries have been permitted for entry; unless specifically mentioned.
  • Travelers are also required to purchase a mandatory COVID-19 Insurance Cover at $12 (for a $50,000 cover over a period of 1 month) via the tourism app (or during the hotel booking or airline ticket purchase) upon their application.
  • Confirmation of a booking at a certified ‘Safe & Secure’ hotel, for a period of up to 14 days should be shown; there would be no mandatory minimum stay requirement. PRE-FLIGHT PREPARATION
  • Travelers should undergo a PCR test from an accredited laboratory and obtain a negative result, approximately 96 hours before their flight.
  • A Health Declaration Form (HDF) should also be submitted prior to boarding, on-board the flight or upon arrival.
  • The COVID-19 Insurance Cover purchased during visa process for a value of at least $50,000 for 1 month.
