Best fit: February - March and June - August

These periods generally provide a better balance for Sentosa, Universal Studios, Gardens by the Bay and outdoor sightseeing. February falls within the drier phase of the Northeast Monsoon, while June–August forms part of Singapore's generally drier Southwest Monsoon.

Also possible: January, April - May and September

These months remain quite workable. Expect heat, humidity and occasional thunderstorms, particularly during the April–May inter-monsoon period. September can still be relatively dry but warm.

Least suitable: October to December

I would use "least suitable" rather than "avoid" for Singapore because the itinerary works year-round. October–November tends to have more afternoon thunderstorms, while December begins the wetter Northeast Monsoon phase.

• Keep a passport with at least six months’ validity for entry into Singapore.
• Indian passport holders require a Singapore visa in advance for a normal holiday visit.
• Complete the SG Arrival Card within three days, including the day of arrival. It is free and is not a visa.
• Night Safari uses timed admission. The Creatures of the Night presentation requires a separate seat reservation, which currently opens two hours before each show.
• Day 1 combines an international arrival with an evening Night Safari, so flight arrival time should be checked before confirming the programme.
• Universal Studios is a full walking day, and individual rides have height, health and safety restrictions.
• The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest periodically close for maintenance, so check the operating calendar for the exact travel date.
• Carry an umbrella even during the relatively drier months; Singapore can experience short tropical showers throughout the year.
• Comfortable shoes are important because Sentosa, Universal Studios and Gardens by the Bay all involve considerable walking.
• Attraction timings and tickets should be reconfirmed during public holidays, school holidays and major events.
