Embark on one of the scenic cycling routes in India by taking the Tawang cycling tour package from Guwahati. This cycling expedition is an adequate adrenaline boost for you! On this 11-day Guwahati Tawang cycling expedition, you will ride through challenging yet adventurous terrains and uphill riding conditions. You will be reliving those good old days when you went riding on your cycle with many friends. 

This trip aims to help you relive those days on a bigger and better scale. Choose the sustainable form of travel to venture across snow-clad mountains, meaning rivers and lush greenery. You will cover the total cycling journey of around 300 kilometers (approx.) for 7 days with several halts and sure to enchant you with breathtaking vistas. Itinerary Detail

Day 1:

Arrival in Guwahati

Arrive at Guwahati as per your schedule. Upon reaching the airport, meet our representative, who will be responsible for escorting you to your pre-booked accommodation. Once you arrive, complete the check-in formalities and freshen up. Before the briefing season, have your lunch at your staycation place. Later, you will have a briefing season about the cycling expedition in the presence of several like-minded travelers. Afterward, you must take time to explore Guwahati locally within your staycation option.

Return to your accommodation for an overnight stay by dusk with a delicious dinner.

Day 2:

Guwahati-Bhalukpong. (245 KM / 6hrs (By Vehicle)

Wake up early today with a delicious breakfast as you will be traveling to the entry point of Arunachal Pradesh. Complete the check-out formalities and proceed to Bhalukpong by road in a comfortable vehicle. You will be reaching Bhalukpong by evening and will cross the Brahmaputra River. Upon arriving, complete the check-in formalities and relax in your room. By the evening, gear up yourself for the pre-expedition ride around the locality in which your accommodation is tucked.

Later, return to your accommodation and relish the dinner before dozing off overnight in Bhalukpong.

Day 3:

Bhalukpong –Jamiri( 61 KM, 7-8 hrs)

Wake up early with a delicious breakfast and complete the checkout formalities at Bhalukpong. Afterward, proceed your ride towards Bhalukpong and carry your passport-sized photos and identification verification documents like Driving Licence, Voter Card, or Passport copy. You will be checked for Bhalukpong for Inner Line Permit, which is included.

Upon reaching Jamiri, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and give your leg muscles the relaxation they need. Before you doze off, relish the delicious dinner and unwind overnight.

Day 4:

Jamiri-Bomdila ( 52 KM, 6-7 hrs)

You need to wake early on the 4th day with a delicious morning meal because you will have to peddle to reach Bomdila. Going further to Bomdila from Jamiri on a cycling trip is about riding through lush green forests and uphill and downhill slopes. During your voyage, explore the off-the-beaten roads. Once you reach Bomdila, complete the check-in formalities and relax! If time permits, take time to admire the beautiful monastery and explore the local marketplace in the evening at your own pace.

After a strenuous day, come back to the hotel for a goodnight’s sleep followed by a tasty dinner.

Day 5:

Bomdila-Sangti Valley/Dirang (50 KM, 5-6 hrs)

Wake up early in the morning, followed by a tasty meal. You will be starting your day with a small 4 kilometers (approx.) uphill section to the pinnacle of Bomdila Pass. Later, the peddling becomes accessible as a downhill ride will start along the Dirang River. Once you reach Dirang, descend to the riverbed to cross it. Next, you will find 7 kilometers (approx.) dirt road to Sangti Village. Once you arrive, complete the check-in formalities and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay in your pre-booked camp/homestay.

Day 6:

Dirang-Senge( 35 KM, 5-6 hrs)

Wake up early, finish off the checkout formalities, and proceed to the Senge. It is the last town where you will find accommodation as there won’t be any staycation option from Senge to Jung in between. However, a stay here at Senge will prepare you mentally and physically for the next day’s ride.

Upon reaching, complete the check-in formalities and give your body the rest it deserves for the next day’s sightseeing. Then, indulge in delicious dinner and then doze off!

Day 7:

Senge-Sela Pass-Jung(66 km, 8-9hrs)

Wake up too early than your usual time and gorge on the toothsome breakfast. Your endurance will be tested as you will enjoy the ride on Sela Pass. You can also take in the beauty of the pristine Sela Lake, tucked near the high altitude pass. Ahead of 16 kilometers (approx.) from Sela Pass is Jaswant Garh. As you reach the pass, go down to Jung for an overnight stay.

Day 8:

Jung-Tawang(30 KM, 4-5hrs)

Post breakfast on the 8th day, complete the check-out formalities and embark on Tawang. Today you will be peddling a 10 kilometers (approx.) descent to the riverbed to cross the river. Afterward, you will follow a gradual uphill road to Tawang. En route to Tawang, stopover at Nurang Falls, also called Jung Waterfall. Then, proceed your ride towards the Tawang. Once you are stationed at Tawang, complete the check-in formalities and relax! In the meantime, you will have the liberty to enlighten your soul at Tawang Monastery.

After a fun day, return to the hotel and have a sound sleep followed by a tasty dinner.

Day 9:

Explore Tawang on your own.

Exploring Tawang on your own will be the highlight on your 9th day. Wake up at your convenience and savor a hearty breakfast. Discover the serene lakes, Buddhist monasteries, shopping markets, and breathtaking passes. Mediate at the 400 years old monastery, the second-largest Asian monastery.

After an eventful day, come back to the hotel for overnight sleep, followed by a delicious dinner.

Places to Visit in Tawang: Taktsang Gompa, Shonga Tser Lake, and Jaswant Garh.

Day 10:

Tawang – Bomdila

We have included your return to Guwahati via Bomdila through vehicle transfer. You will be waking up early with a delicious morning meal and performing a checkout. Get transferred to Bomdila from Tawang in a comfortable vehicle. Sign up for the check-in formalities for an overnight stay with a delicious dinner as you reach.

Day 11:

Bomdila – Guwahati.

Feast on delectable breakfast early morning, perform the checkout formalities and proceed towards Guwahati via Khaltang. Check in to your hotel once you reach Guwahati. Relax and spend the evening at leisure after reaching Guwahati. Head out to explore the charming shopping places and local eateries to relish local meals.

As the day comes to an end, get back to your accommodation for overnight sleep and dinner.

Day 12:

Guwahati

Treat your tastebuds with the mouthwatering morning meal before you do a checkout from the hotel. Post breakfast, you will be driven back to Guwahati Airport to return home with memorable moments.
