Arrival in Delhi

Arrive late evening in Delhi, India’s capital and one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. On arrival at Delhi International Airport, meet our representative who will assist you with a smooth private transfer to your hotel.

After check-in, the rest of the evening is kept completely free. This relaxed arrival allows you to recover from international or long-distance travel before the tour begins in earnest. You may choose to rest at the hotel or enjoy light refreshments, depending on arrival time.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2:

Delhi – Guided City Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a guided sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city that reflects layers of Mughal, British and modern Indian history and forms the cultural gateway to many India tour packages.

Begin with a drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House, symbols of India’s democratic governance, followed by a stop at India Gate, the national war memorial. Continue to Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of early Indo-Islamic architecture in the country.

Next, visit Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO-listed monument, often considered the architectural inspiration behind the Taj Mahal.

In the afternoon, explore the vibrant lanes of Old Delhi with a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, one of Asia’s oldest markets. Experience spice bazaars, historic havelis, street vendors and local life that has remained unchanged for generations.

Return to your hotel by evening.

Delhi – Heritage & Cultural Exploration

After breakfast, continue exploring Delhi’s spiritual and historical landmarks. Visit Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, and gain a glimpse into Mughal-era religious architecture. Proceed to Raj Ghat, the serene memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, symbolising India’s freedom movement.

The remainder of the day is kept free for leisure. Guests may opt for optional museum visits, shopping at local markets, or simply relaxing at the hotel before the journey shifts toward Northeast India.

This lighter day balances intensive sightseeing with personal time before multiple wildlife transfers begin.

Day 4:

Delhi – Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park

After an early breakfast, transfer to Delhi Airport for your flight to Guwahati, the cultural and transportation hub of Assam. On arrival, begin your scenic road journey toward Kaziranga National Park, passing rural Assamese villages, expansive tea gardens and river-fed plains.

This drive introduces the distinctive landscape of Assam, often featured in curated Assam tour packages.

Arrive near Kaziranga by evening and check into your jungle lodge or resort. The rest of the day is reserved for rest and acclimatisation to the forest environment.

Day 5:

Kaziranga – Elephant Safari & Cultural Experience

Early morning, set out for an elephant safari, one of the most immersive ways to explore Kaziranga’s grasslands. Riding atop trained forest elephants allows quiet access to tall grass zones, increasing chances of close encounters with the iconic one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo and swamp deer.

After breakfast, visit a nearby tribal village to observe traditional silk worm rearing, an important rural livelihood in Assam. Continue with a leisurely walk through surrounding tea gardens, learning about tea cultivation that defines much of the region’s economy.

In the evening, enjoy a Bihu dance performance, Assam’s most celebrated folk tradition, offering cultural context to the wildlife experience.

Overnight stay near Kaziranga National Park.

Day 6:

Kaziranga – Jeep Safari

After breakfast, proceed for a jeep safari across one of Kaziranga’s designated ranges. Covering wetlands, forest patches and grasslands, the safari offers varied terrain and excellent wildlife visibility.

Between safaris, enjoy the natural setting of the park, known for its exceptionally high density of large mammals, making it a cornerstone of Kaziranga wildlife tours. Get a chance to spot the Indian Muntjac, wild boar, hog deer, Swamp Francolin, and Bengal Florican.

The afternoon is kept free for leisure. Guests may relax at the lodge, enjoy birdwatching around the property or simply absorb the forest atmosphere.
