Arrive at Dibrugarh Airport, the main gateway to Upper Assam and an important entry point for many Assam tour packages. Upon arrival, meet our local representative who will assist you with a comfortable drive to Tinsukia (approx. 1.5 hours).

The drive introduces you to Assam’s eastern landscapes—vast tea estates, small towns, and fertile river plains shaped by the Brahmaputra and its tributaries. Upon arrival in Tinsukia, check into your hotel and take time to relax after the journey.

Wake up early for a memorable elephant safari (subject to forest department permissions), one of the most immersive ways to explore the grasslands of Kaziranga National Park. En route, stop at Umiam Lake (Barapani), a vast man-made reservoir surrounded by forested hills. This viewpoint offers panoramic photo opportunities and serves as a refreshing break during the long drive.

Continue onward to Shillong and check into your hotel upon arrival. The evening is free to explore local markets, enjoy café culture, or simply relax in the cool hill climate that has earned Shillong its nickname, the “Scotland of the East.”

After breakfast, set out for a full-day excursion to Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth and a key highlight of many Meghalaya tour packages.

Visit Mawsmai Cave, a limestone cave system open to visitors, offering insight into the region’s geological formations. Continue to scenic viewpoints overlooking deep gorges, forested slopes, and seasonal waterfalls that cascade dramatically during monsoon months.

Throughout the day, enjoy breathtaking views of cloud-covered cliffs and distant plains stretching towards Bangladesh. By evening, return to Shillong for rest.
