Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival in Manali (By bus)

Your arrival in Manali from Delhi by bus is marked by a transfer to the hotel. Complete check-in formalities and unwind. Have lunch at the hotel (not mentioned in inclusions) and get ready for your much-awaited motorbike trip. Get your wheels rolling on the snaking roads of Kullu Valley. The joy ride is coupled with scenery of mighty Himalayas on one side and untamed River Beas on the other. But be watchful of the tricky roads.

After an exciting day, return to the hotel. Savor the delectable dinner and sleep peacefully.

Day 2: Manali - Jispa

Distance from Manali to Jispa: 92.8 km

Travel Time: 2 hours, 33 minutes (approx.)

Greet the morning early today, savor breakfast, checkout from the hotel, and get ready for a happening day ahead. This day will take you to the amazing Rohtang Pass. Perched atop 3,798 m, this is an arduous drive, where hairpin bends are frequent. Weather conditions are also uncertain. So, it’s time to bring out the daredevil in you. Drive through Lahaul, the home to monasteries and monks.

Now, proceed to Tandi – a small village above the union of Bhaga and Chandra Rivers. Up next, you will be moving to Keylong. Get your motorbike serviced here, if required. Meandering through the snowy peaks, you will reach Jispa. From here. You will find smooth roads from this place. Check-in to the hotel and refuel yourself with a filling dinner. Thereafter, slip into your cozy beds and sleep.

Note: At Tandi, fill your motorbike fuel tanks and get your motorbike issues fixed at Keylong as after this, you won’t find any mechanic. From here, your cell phone will lose network connection, so be prepared.

Day 3: Jispa - Sarchu

Distance from Jispa to Sarchu: 77.3 km

Travel Time: 2 hours, 27 minutes (approx.)

Arise to a nutritious morning meal and checkout from the hotel. As you set on to discover Ladakh by bike tour, drive to Sarchu – the village that divides Himachal and Ladakh. When you leave Jispa behind, you have to beat the first challenge of the route - Bara-Lacha La (4890 m). With the increasing altitude, you will experience Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) effects. But stay strong as you have to conquer more, most especially at the Bara-Lacha La peak. Now, you have to drive downhill and be cautious as it is going to be rough till Bharatpur. From there, as you proceed to Sarchu, road conditions get better.

Once you reach Sarchu camp, relax and get over the strenuous drive. Later, have a reviving dinner and sleep restfully at the camp.

Note: Consume lots of fluids while driving to stay dehydrated.

Day 4: Sarchu - Leh

Distance from Sarchu to Leh: 259 km

Travel Time: 7 hours, 30 minutes (approx.)

Wake up and have a toothsome morning meal. Checkout and gear up for a challenging drive to the Gata Loops ascent. A series of 21 hairpin bends takes you to Nakee La (4769 m) – the 3rd high mountain pass on the Leh-Manali route. After a descent from Nakee La, you will drive up Lachulung La (5059 m), which is the route’s 4th high mountain pass and easier as well. From here, you will reach Pang - a temporary tent settlement. Now the road becomes excellent and as a bonus, you get a visual treat of Moore Plains. Be careful here as your vehicle’s suspension can be tested and don’t accelerate at all.

Now, you have to go up Taglang La (5328 m) – the route’s fifth and last high mountain pass. The road is really in a challenging condition. AMS might hit you here as well. However, AMS will retreat from here as roads get better. Halt en route and visit Thiksey and Shey monasteries. Snaking through the challenging roads and soaking in the serenity around, you will reach Changspa. Now, check-in to the hotel and make the most of the leisurely evening, just the way you want.

Later, have a hearty dinner at the hotel, followed by a sound sleep.

Day 5: Leh – Nubra

Distance from Leh to Nubra: 116 km

Travel Time: 4 hours (approx.)

‘Break’ your night long ‘fast’ and checkout from the hotel. On this day of your Discover Ladakh by Bike 2021 tour, you will be heading to Nubra Valley via Khardung La. your next halt will be North Pullu. Relax and regain your strength here, while munching on some snacks. And then, resume your journey. En route, seek blessings at Diskit Monastery and proceed. On arrival, check-in to the camp and rest yore weary self. Thereafter, enjoy riding a double-hump camel.

Afterwards, return to the camp and dig into a delectable dinner. Hop on to your beds for a relaxing sleep.

Day 6: Nubra - Pangong Lake

Distance from Nubra to Pangong: 221 km

Travel Time: 14 hours (approx.)

Wake up to a filling breakfast and checkout from the camps. Ride your toys to reach Pangong Lake via Shyok. Pangong Lake has its two-third area in China. This blue, lake presents a striking contrast to the arid mountains around. En route, cross Chang La – one of the world’s highest motorable roads. When you reach Pangong, check-in to the camp. Relax and soak in the lake’s ethereal beauty.

When the night falls, savor a sumptuous dinner and have a sound sleep.

Day 7: Pangong - Leh

Distance from Pangong to Leh: 216 km

Travel Time: 13 hours (approx.)

Kick start your day with a wholesome breakfast and checkout from the hotel. From today onwards, your journey back home commences. The first destination to be reached in the process is Leh. On arrival, check-in to the camp and rest. Visit Shanti Stupa here, which is a spectacular white structure. Up next is a shopping spree, allowing you to buy home souvenirs from Leh. Also, take in the scenery of Indus Valley and the Zanskar Range.

After a happening day, return to the camp for a reviving dinner and sleep peacefully.

Day 8: Leh - Sarchu

Distance from Leh to Sarchu: 259 km

Travel Time: 7 hours (approx.)

Begin your morning with a hearty breakfast and checkout from the camps. Tread your wheels back to Sarchu, while crossing Pang. Your arrival in Sarchu is marked by check-in to the hotel. Remaining day is at your leisure. Enjoy it just as you want. Later, have dinner and have a comfortable stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Sarchu - Manali

Distance from Sarchu to Manali: 210 km

Travel Time: 6 hours (approx.)

After having a healthy breakfast, checkout from the hotel. Drive to Manali. First up, your will reach Bara-Lacha La till noon. A smooth drive to Lahaul is followed. Your drive proceeds to Rohtang Pass and you reach Manali at night. Check-in to the hotel, have dinner, and have a comforting sleep.

Day 10: Manali (Departure)
