This 6-day Kedarnath Yatra begins in Delhi with a drive to Haridwar for temple visits and the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Further, travel to Guptkashi and take darshan at the Ardh Narishwar Temple. Next, start the 19 km trek to Kedarnath for darshan at the revered Jyotirlinga shrine. Continue to Rishikesh for local sightseeing and Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Ashram, and finally drive back to Delhi for departure. This package covers sightseeing, stays, and meals.

Itinerary Detail

Day 1:

Delhi – Haridwar (230 km/5–6 hours)

Arrive at Delhi Airport/Delhi Railway Station and meet the driver. Proceed towards Haridwar and transfer to the hotel on arrival. If time permits, visit Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Devi Temple and Daksha Mahadev Temple. Later, visit Har Ki Pauri to witness the famous Ganga Aarti and floating diyas on the river. Further, return to the hotel, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 2:

Haridwar – Guptkashi (210 km/7–8 hours)

Post breakfast, drive straight to Guptkashi. On arrival, check in at the hotel. In the evening, proceed for darshan at the Ardh Narishwar Temple. Further, have dinner and stay overnight in Guptkashi.

Day 3:

Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath (30 km by road + 19 km trek)

Start early and drive to Sonprayag. Complete the biometric formalities before beginning the trek to Kedarnath. Pony/palki services can be hired on a direct payment basis. Carry personal medicines, heavy woollens, toiletries, and clothes for the overnight halt. On reaching Kedarnath, proceed for Kedarnath Temple darshan (puja can be booked online or at the temple counter, subject to availability). An overnight stay will be arranged at a basic guesthouse within walking distance of the temple.

Day 4:

Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi (19 km down trek + 30 km/1 hour)

Wake up at dawn early (around 4:00 AM) for Rudra Abhishek at the sanctum as per the temple schedule. After darshan, return to the guesthouse, collect your luggage, and begin the trek down to Sonprayag. Meet the driver and proceed to Guptkashi. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Further, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5:

Guptkashi – Rishikesh (200 km/7–8 hours)

Post breakfast, proceed towards Rishikesh. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, proceed for sightseeing (subject to time), covering Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Shivananda Ashram. In the evening, visit Parmarth Ashram to attend the Ganga Aarti. Further, return to the hotel, have dinner, and stay overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 6:

Rishikesh – Haridwar – Delhi (250 km/6–7 hours)

This is the last day of the trip. After breakfast, check out and drive back to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to Delhi Railway Station/Airport for your onward journey.
