Itinerary Detail

Day 1:

Leh Arrival

Arrive at the Leh Airport, where our representative will assist you with a transfer to your accommodation. After check-in, acclimate yourself to the high altitudes.>/p>

In the evening, you can stroll nearby, indulge in the local Ladakhi cuisine, or simply laze around in your room. Further, enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2:

Leh – Indus Valley – Leh

After breakfast, set out for a full-day exploration of the Indus Valley. Begin with Shey Palace, once home to Ladakh’s royal family, and visit its monastery, which houses a towering copper statue of Buddha. Engage with the resident monks and gain insight into their way of life.

Continue to Thiksey Monastery, the largest in this region, known for its striking architecture and serene atmosphere. Next, visit Hemis Monastery, India’s wealthiest and one of its most significant monasteries.

After an enriching day, return to Leh for a leisurely evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner before settling in for the night.

Day 3:

Leh – Nubra Valley

Enjoy an early breakfast, check out, and hit the roads to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Along the way, halt to capture the scenic vistas at the mountain pass.

Continue to Diskit Monastery, home to Ladakh’s towering Maitreya Buddha and ancient murals. Later, head to Hunder Sand Dunes for an exciting camel safari on rare Double Humped Camels.

After an adventure-filled day, check in at your camp and unwind. Further, an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4:

Turtuk excursion (Former Baltistan)

Get on a scenic drive to Turtuk, a remote village that was once part of Pakistan’s Baltistan region until it was captured by India in 1971. Here, locals speak Balti, a unique language that reflects their cultural heritage. While exploring the village, interact with residents and listen to the fascinating stories about the war and life in this area.

Experience the distinctive Balti culture, architecture, and traditions. Turtuk is also famous for its world-class apricots and walnuts, which can be purchased fresh from local farms. Take in the breathtaking views of the Shyok River before returning to Hunder for a relaxing evening.

Day 5:

Nubra Valley – Leh

Start the day with an early morning visit to Diskit Monastery, the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra Valley, offering panoramic views of the terrain. Then, set off on a drive to the Pangong Lake via Shayok. Here, the color-changing turquoise waters are surrounded by dramatic mountains.

Day 6:

Leh – Pangong Lake

Today, after breakfast, get on an offbeat journey to Hanle, one of Ladakh’s most secluded and magical destinations. Here, you’ll visit the Hanle Monastery, a 17th-century Tibetan Buddhist monastery built under King Sengge Namgyal’s patronage, which houses around 60 monks.

Moreover, Hanle is also renowned for the Indian Astronomical Observatory, the world’s highest observatory. Before heading towards your staycation, enjoy a night sky filled with countless stars in Hanle.

Day 7:

Pangong Lake – Tso Moriri Lake

Today, travel towards Tso Moriri Lake. Along the route, you’ll pass through Nyoma and Mahe Bridge. This lake is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, as it serves as a breeding ground for rare species such as the bar-headed goose, crested grebe, Brahmini duck, and brown-headed gull.

So, you may also spot wild asses (kiang), Tibetan wolves, and the majestic Tibetan mastiff. Upon reaching the lake, get awestruck with its crystal-clear waters and ever-changing hues.

Enjoy an overnight stay in comfortable lakeside tents.

Day 8:

Tso Moriri Lake – Tso Kar Lake – Leh

Kickstart your day with an early breakfast and get on the roads for returning to Leh via Tso Kar Lake. En route, stop at the Puga geothermal gas springs and the Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo-Kongka La Pass to experience the unique nomadic lifestyle of the Changpa people.

Once reaching the Tso Kar Lake, take a break to soak in the tranquil beauty before continuing to Leh. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening followed by an overnight stay.

Day 9:

Leh – Uleytokpo/ Alchi

After breakfast, check out and head towards Uleytokpo or Alchi, two peaceful villages along the Indus River. En route, halt at the Likir Monastery, famous for its massive Maitreya Buddha statue and breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Continue to Alchi Monastery, home to 1,000-year-old murals and some of Ladakh’s finest Buddhist miniature paintings. Once you reach Uleytokpo/Alchi, check in and unwind. The evening is free for relaxation, exploration, or indulging in the region’s serenity.

Day 10:

Uleytokpo/ Alchi – Leh

Start your day with a morning meal and get on a return journey to Leh with a visit to Lamayuru Monastery, surrounded by lunar-like landscapes resembling the surface of the moon. Explore the monastery’s ancient murals before proceeding towards Leh.

Along the way, stop at the Spituk Monastery, a significant religious site known for its fascinating museum housing antique masks and sacred artifacts.

Next, experience the mysterious Magnetic Hill, where vehicles seemingly defy gravity. The journey also includes visiting the Military Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to India’s war heroes.

Spend the evening in Leh exploring its markets, perfect for last-minute souvenir shopping. Later, an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 11:

Departure from Leh

Your 11-day Leh-Ladakh tour package comes to an end. After an early breakfast, complete check-out formalities and transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey, carrying back remarkable memories of Ladakh’s landscapes and cultural experiences.
